MSN Messenger Service is an instant-messaging program that notifies you when your friends are online so that you can send one a message or chat with several friends at once. In addition, MSN Messenger Service notifies you when you have new email in your Hotmail account and allows you to access your inbox with the click of a button. You have full control over who can contact you and view whether you are online. At any time, you can see a list of all users who have added you to their lists, and you can easily block them if you choose to do so. You can also invite someone in your list to meet over the Internet or to play an Internet game using NetMeeting. The program will even notify you when someone you are communicating with is typing so that you can avoid overlapping messages. QuickMessenger is an application created to send and receive messages from one PC to another one or a group of computers via the local area network (LAN) under Windows NT/2000/XP.
It uses the "NET SEND" command of Windows, you can thus send messages to anyone, even if it does not have QuickMessenger.
QuickMessenger can "capture" the incoming messages and you can reply simply and easily.

LanMsg works with Lan Dial and sits in the systray showing the current state of the Lan Dial (i.e. connected or not) on its icon.
It can send commands to Lan Dial to dial or hang up. It also, as does Lan Dial, acts as a Lan message system so it replaces winpopup.
