Launch! is a Mac OS X application for launching and controlling login to Telstras BigPond Cable network. Launch! has two possible interfaces - a window interface, and a status icon in the menu. Usage statistics are automatically updated to show current unrated usage. Links to useful cable related web pages are provided in a slide out drawer and the status menu.

If you go over your monthly download allowance limit, Launch! can inform you of expected costs that you will incur. Preferences allow you to set your login name and password, along with other options such as usage statistics updates, the type of plan you are on (for calculating costs when going over your monthly allowance), applications to launch on connection etc.

You can also automatically retry connecting should connection fail. The icon for Launch! also shows you when you are connected and a usage statistics meter.

Launch! is donation-ware. This means Launch! is free, but donations are appreciated. The software has no nag screens or limited functionality. I hope some people appreciate the work that has gone in to Launch!. Donations made help me to enhance Launch! and create other Mac OS X applications.

Launch! TPG is a Mac OS X application for TPG ADSL broadband users. Launch! TPG will provide a usage meter that updates automatically while connected to the network, calculations of costs when over your monthly allowance, and a status menu item.

Launch! TPG is donation-ware - which pretty much means it is freeware (no nag screens or limitations) but I appreciate donations if you find the software useful. See the Web site for details.

The XE Launch application for Windows 9X can be usedfor installing multiple pieces of software. This can be especially handy for installing software from a CD-ROM that has many applications on it. In addition to a single application that can launch multiple software titles, you also get theming capabilities. You are in control of the installer interface. You get sound, button rollovers, custom graphics, and even a pop-up dialogue box.

K-Launch is yet another application/DA launcher.

X-Launch is a GTK-based skinnable run dialog.

It has bash style autocompletion, skin support, and animations to let you know when a slow application is launching.

It can function like other run dialogs, but you can also tell it to stay resident in memory and hide itself after it launches an application.

X-Launch not only looks better then any other Run dialog, but is more powerful and faster then most. It will manage its own hotkey, so you dont have to have a window manager that supports hotkeys and it doesnt have to launch every time you want to launch an application.

T Launch description
Quickly launch your favorite programs from the system tray with T-Launch T-Launch is a application launcher utility that runs from the System Tray. You can register favorite programs, and launch the programs by clicking icon in the Systray.

GTK-Launch is a small GTK program launcher.

Its the equivalent of "Run Command" in KDE, GNOME, or Windows.

It features command history, and runs the command if valid (otherwise it lets the box stay there, waiting for a correction).

Launch KDE is a small combination between Apple script and shell script that Launches KDE (as installed by Fink) using Apples X11 but with KDEs native window manager as a separate instance of X11 so that the normal Aquafied X11 can be used at the same time. This is just a small project I thought other newbies (like me) might have fun with. No great programing here.

Button Launch is a utility to let you launch applications (and prefence panels) by combinations of the hardware buttons.

Button Launch uses 6 of hardward buttons (the two scroll buttons and the four "application" buttons) in two ways: a short tap (tap) and a long press (tap and hold for more than 1/3 of a second).

The idea is that you set one of your application buttons to launch Button Launch.

Then you push the button youve assigned to a given application and Button Launch takes you there.

Thus, if you assign the "memo pad" button to Button Launch and, in button Launch assign a short-tap on the memo pad button to the memo pad, two taps on the memo buton will get you to the memo pad.

A tap on the memo button and a tap on the todo button might get you to the Mail application, and so on.
