TrayDay software lets you see the date at a glance, and has a handy pop-up calendar with week numbers. Its not a diary, it doesnt store appointments: but so often all you need is a simple calendar - and a quick answer to the everyday question: "Whats todays date?". Here are 2 of the 4 icons that can be used to display todays date in the taskbar tray.

TrayDay places an icon showing the date (day of the month) in the system tray. the icon resembles a page of a "tear-off" calendar.

You can therefore see the date at a glance - often quicker and easier than resting your mouse over the clock, searching for an "Insert Date" menu, or having to reach for your diary.

Move the mouse over the icon and the day of the week will appear; you can also have the Julian Day number, and the "Internet Time" as defined by Swatch, in the Tooltip.

Left-click the icon and a pop-up menu appears showing the date in various formats - including up to ten user defined formats. Click one and it will automatically be inserted into your application.

You can select your favorite date format to be available by double-clicking the TrayDay icon. the user formats can include the date, time, and counters - particularly useful for date-stamping messages or files; and calendar week/day number dates - eg, 2006-W14-1 for April 1, 2006.

TrayDay also has a calendar option; you can choose to have the monthly calendar "on top" all the time for quick reference. Now with week number display, to ISO (or your own) standard.

Navigate months and years using the mouse or keyboard - or the Microsoft IntelliMouse wheel - and type or paste any date in the format of your choice. the calendar shows Monday as first day of the week, but this can be changed to Sunday in the Settings dialog.

You can choose to have Saturdays or Sundays (or both) displayed in red on the calendar.

BFU is a scripting application that will execute a series of preset commands like a Windows batch file, aimed at uninstalled programs that are uninstalled improperly, hard to remove or simply unwanted.

There are available options to let the script execution manage files, folders, ini files, Registry keys and values, hosts file content, processes loaded in memory, dll files, NT services and Winsock components. Message boxes can be displayed, the system can be rebooted, the Recycle Bin can be used for delete operations and programs can be started.

Options for the script itself include unloading the shell (i.e. killing the Explorer.exe process), pausing between commands (or all commands) and setting a minimum required version number for BFU itself to be able to run the script. BFU itself does not store anything on the system and is uninstalled simply by deleting it.

Command syntax
The format of the command is very simple, but has a few notes:

The is one of the list below, the amount and format (text, number) of arguments depends on the command.

The pipes (|) between the arguments are needed, as they determine how BFU interprets which argument represents what.
For example, if the SystemRun command is used to launch a program without any parameters but it still needs to be hidden from the users view (default is 1, show it), the command would be: SystemRun c:windowsnotepad.exe||0

The second argument is empty, but the third is not. the second pipe must not be omitted, or the 0 would be interpreted as parameter for Notepad and the window would be shown.

Whenever brackets are used in the Syntax lines below, this means any of the items seperated by the pipes between them can be used. the brackets should not be used in scripts. For example, when the syntax for a command is DllRegister c:file.dll|[0|1], this means either DllRegister c:file.dll|0 or DllRegister c:file.dll|1 can be used.

Writing scripts
The open script dialog filters on *.bfu. A .bfu script file is plaintext, commands are not case-sensitive. the order of commands can be anything, but it is recommended to put script options at the top and a system restart at the end. Any lines that do not start with a recognized command are ignored, but for readability comments should be easily recognizable, for example by starting them with a certain character (, #, //, /*, whatever you like).

WordConvs is flexible system for text conversion and formatting. WordConvs is flexible system for text conversion and formatting. It use the text converters included in Microsoft Word 7.0 or higher to convert files written by other word processors. Moreover the program lets you change the document setting (like page with, page height, margins, that is nearly all the parameters used by MsWord). So users can standardize in one run a batch of documents written with different parameters.

WordConvs use the Microsoft Word converters¹ to convert from and to the available input and output formats. It allows also the use of an external converter program if you have one and you prefer to use it. This option can be useful if the conversion program dont has batch capability or dont allow to scan subdirectories or/and to process hidden files and folders, as WordConvs has these capabilities. It can be useful also if there is not an included mechanism to test the completeness of the conversion, as some converters in case of errors in input file truncate the conversion without any kind of indication of the fact. In case of processing of a large number of file this can be dangerous as you believe that the results are good while you can have as result some truncated document (only partially converted).

To test, also if not in a secure way, this case, a program has been inserted which count the words, lines, and characters of the input document. As MsWord has internally the possibility to count them in the output document, it is possible to compare these counters. Naturally the input file counters are only a row approximation as only managing the formatting of the input document it is possible to have a good count.

The WC.EXE² program included in the setup, is a general program (valid for document written by every word processor) but with a variable level of accuracy of the result, depending on the format of the document. For this reason the possibility to set the threshold of percent difference that give rise to a warning message, has been inserted, as well as the possibility to choose which of the 3 counters (word, lines, characters) to use (they can be used alone or in whichever mix). If a more accurate program is available to you, you can use it by setting its filename in the reserved space on the configuration dialog, as well as the 3 possible strings forming the input line command together with input and output file names set by WordConvs.

To create dynamic pages, all you need to know is HTML and Python. You have the choice between different ways of mixing them.

In short :

For authentication and session, two functions (unsurprisingly named Authentication and Session) can be used in scripts. Authentication takes an authentication test function as first argument, which checks if the AUTH_USER and AUTH_PASSWORD are accepted. Session() is used to initialize or retrieve a session object to which attributes can be set or read

The Include(file_or_script) function inserts the output of the script or file inside the output of current script ; this is useful for headers or footers for instance. If its a script it is executed in the current namespace.

Callback File System provides a kernel-mode driver, which calls your application when it needs to perform some file system operation, and a user-mode API for use by your application. And your application can expose generic data as a file system to third-party processes.

Such approach lets you offer the remotely stored information for system-wide access.
