Z-DATdump 2.2 backups (time-controlled as well) any data onto the first tape drive in the employed computer system. Z-DATdump was tested with the following tape drives: TRAVAN, SLR, MLR, QIC, LTO, AIT, DLT or DAT tape drives which have a SCSI, IDE or a USB connection.
The program has a simple user interface and can be controlled with command line parameters, too. This makes a time controlled dump possible by a task scheduler.
Major Features:
- Backup on tape: Streamers are optimal to archive large and important backups to a tape. Data tapes depending on type and memory capacity cost between 3.00 and 30.00 Euros. With the combination of Z-DBackup and Z-DATdump are numerous backup concepts possible. This makes it an ideal backup tool for the private and commercial use!
- Batch control: Z-DATdump offers a complete command line interface next to program surface simply to be used for the professional user and use in the Batch mode, in addition.
- Writing backup or data on tape automatically: In addition to the easy to use user-interface there is a complete commandline interface for professional use (i.e. control by batch-file). Also can be described a time controlled one without problems of tapes by means of the Z-Cron Schedulers or the task planner integrated in Windows with Z-DATdump realize.
- Shutdown backup: is a practical option to shutdown the computer after the tape-backup. So you can backup your data and turn off the computer with one mouse-click.
- Hardware: Z-DATdump writes SCSI passport-THROUGH on tape media according to the ASPI guidelines under application of the SPTI standard (interface). The program works with common streamer/tape drives (IDE, SCSI, USB and S-ATA), as of year of construction 2000 together.
Enhancements:
- Minor update with some improvements and optimizations.
- The data of the current version was changed. This allows for a faster restore of individual files. The condition is that this option is supported by the hardware.
- Software now supports Travan drives.
