If you had pictures in lots of subfolders, this utility flattens them all into just a single folder with all the pictures in order. This can help you visualize and sort them all together. Its also needed for making a Kodak PictureCD, where youre not allowed subfolders.
If you had pictures with long filenames, this utility renames them all into 8.3 format suitable for PictureCD.
If you had excessively large pictures (e.g. 10 megapixel photos from your digital camera) this utility shrinks them to a size appropriate for DVD so as to make them easier to work with.
If you had subfolders, this utility creates a "title page" for each of those subfolders. This way you can watch a slideshow of your photos and still know what the directory-names were.
To use it: drag and drop a folder with pictures in it onto the applications window.
The source code shows how to recursively scan a directory, how to respond to WM_DROP, how to use GDI+ to load and resize a jpeg.

Traditional Chinese Fonts shipped with Windows XP use embedded bitmaps to provide legibility at small sizes on the screen. Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) does not display these bitmaps but instead renders the outlines.
These outlines are not instructed (hinted) for good legibility and the results are poor. Microsoft JhengHei Regular and Bold Version 5.00 have been properly instructed for legibility at 9 point size and above in ClearType environments such as WPF. ClearType works best on LCD monitors.

"WPF/E" (codename) is a browser enhancement module that enables browsers to render rich content in addition to HTML. WPF/E" is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0 and also with Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.8 and 2.0. The Dec 2006 CTP will expire on February 18, 2007.
"WPF/E" (codename) is supported on the following browsers and platforms:

- Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 on Windows XPSP2
