StoryMaster is a freeware tool that reformats ascii text files written in paragraphs to your specifications! Paragraphs are necessary in isolating blocks of text to be cleaned, reformatted and word wrapped.
If you read the new file in a word processor make certain you set the characters per line at least one character less than your processor is set for. Otherwise your word processor will throw a bunch of blank lines in and the file will appear mangled. You can view the file by opening a dos window and typing "edit _new.txt" to see it is formatted as you selected.
For example: My word processor views 70 characters per line, so I need to write the new file with a setting of 69 characters or less.
The reason for this is there is one end of line character that is added to the end of each line of text. It is invisible, but it is still a character and your word processor will throw this last character down a line and the result will be a blank line displayed between sentences.
