Free midi step sequencer software for windows

JAZZ is a full size free midi sequencer for Windows that offers a lot of functions normally only found in expensive commercial sequencer software.

MIDI Display 1 is a useful audio plugin which consists of 16 virtual keyboards, one for each MIDI channel. As notes are played they are displayed on the corresponding channel in varying shades of blue; Light blue for the softer notes and dark blue for the loudest. Program changes are converted to the General MIDI program name.

Mute selected tracks or channels of a midi song MIDIMUTE is a simple command line tool designed to mute selected tracks or channels of a midi song (by setting volume to 0 and disabling all other volume changes).

Sometimes we want to play or exercise with a band or if no band currently here then with a midi song. In midi we can choose with part(s) we want to play ourselves. Usually midi songs play also these parts and then we need to disable them for the session.
Many midi players allow such kind of muting and if we want the mute forever then we need to edit the files with a midi sequencer or a utility. This utility does such modifications. It shows the tracks and can mute one or more tracks by setting their volume to 0 (this is mute). But it keeps the original information in markers so that it can be undone later with same utility.

Most of our MIDI-files have lyrics encrypted, originally meant to display on some of todays MIDI-keyboards. But why not use your computer as a karaoke machine?
Simply double click on KaraokePlayer.exe to start the programme. You will be prompted to select a MIDI-file. We have enclosed 5 demo samples of our library so you are up and running.
Once the file is loaded in you will see the lyrics displayed. Should you have selected a MIDI-file with no lyrics encrypted you will receive a "No lyrics found..." message.
Provided you have loaded in a song with lyrics simply press "Start" - and SING...!
