Free mouse middle button software for windows

X-Mouse Button Control 1.49.0 is a well designed and useful application with the ability of using the mouse differently from another that is useful for games not inherently supporting the extended mouse buttons because you can map keys to each button.

Enhancements:

• Layer support (up to 5 configuraitons accessable via hotkeys/button combo's)
• Change the GUI to support layers and moved the settings to a seperate dialog.
• Added optional global hotkey support for several XMBC operations.
• Added debounce/throttling settings for tilt wheel, to try and control the repeat messages of the tilt wheel.
• Removed old disable XMBC "hotkey"/mouse action as its now configurable along with the other hotkeys.
• Added ability to open a selected folder, and open some default folders (computer, documents, network, control panel)
• Added ability to scroll windows that do not respond to the usual windows scroll messages, currently configured manually in settings file. One day I will have a GUI to do that!
• Fixed some bugs causing the mouse hook creation to fail.
• Fixed bug causing tray icon to sometimes not show.
• Modified service launcher to retry if the launch fails.

Requirements:

• A mouse and driver that supports 5 buttons. Note: If your mouse has 5 buttons but the 4th and 5th buttons don't do anything in XP64 by default - this probably wont work for you. This software relies on the driver to send the default 4th and 5th mouse button messages which in XP64 default to BACK/NEXT in IE. Actually, a 2 or 3 button mouse can be customised but is there any point?!
• Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7. X-Mouse Button Control supports both 32bit (x86) and 64bit (x64) editions of Windows XP and later.

Paste Onto New Tab Button allow pasting links into the New Tab toolbar button using the middle mouse (like what happens when you middlemouse click in a webpage on Linux with autoscroll off, but in a new tab).
