I needed code for a webserver in vb, so developed one after hunting around for various examples and converting some C# code to VB.
I have made it available to others, to save you the trouble of trying to find source code or develop one yourself.
Its a Visual Studio 2003 solution developed as a Windows Service application, and can very easily be converted and used as a console or standard windows application.
The source code is fully commented and should be easy to understand.

The most important element of LeechFTP is the Job Queue: Whenever you decide to either upload or download a file, the files are not immediately transferred over the current connection. Job processing is done by separate threads, so you can continue browsing directories or connect to another server. Each thread connects to its corresponding server and starts processing queue items. The maximum number of threads is currently limited to 16. The use of threads optimizes the applications CPU usage, so you can easily run several simultaneous transfers.
