Free network monitor software for windows

Qt Network Monitor is built in C++ and uses the underlying library libpcap / WinPcap to gather information about the network traffic. The GUI is built in QT and faily independent from the implementation of the device listener.
Qt Network Monitor is a open source bandwidth monitor written using Qt and LibScp/WinScp. Works well under Linux too though you have to compile it yourself.The application allows to monitor a device. You start the program, chose a device and put the application to the tray. You can then know how much bandwidth you are taking at any time.

Active Network Monitor lets system administrators gather information from every computer on the network without installing server-side applications. You can even take snapshots of the systems and network status for future comparisons and change tracking.

Prognosti Network Monitor scans different devices on your LAN or the Internet to determine if they can be acessed from your PC.
Use it to quickly determine if there is a problem on your home or small business network; identify and locate intermittent network problems; monitor your favorite web servers to see if they are up or down.
The program uses the ECHO protocol to test each device at regular intervals and displays the devices status in the main window. A log file records status changes of each device, providing useful troubleshooting information. If a computer can not be reached, the reason why is displayed in the status column.
