Network Time Client 1.2 is a very flexible and effective tool which connects to a time server through the Internet, gets the current time, and adjusts the clock of your PC.
This software uses the DAYTIME protocol and is RFC-867 compliant. Usually, time servers are synchronized using an atomic clock. However, the DAYTIME protocol doesn't support the transfer of the exact time (down to 1 millisecond) but your system time should be at least within 500ms (half a second) of the 'real' atomic time.
From now on, e-mails, Office documents, log entries will have the exact time and not just an 'approximative' value.

RFC868 Time Protocol Server 1.11
RFC 868 offers time in GMT, it is up to the device requesting the time to convert it to local time, relative to GMT more>>
RFC 868 time protocol is used mainly by UNIX systems, and some network devices, it uses port 37 over UDP or TCP. The BTT Software time server responds to both UDP and TCP requests on port 37.
A list of recent requests is shown in the main window which can be used for debug / information purposes. Support has now been included for the System Tray. The server can also be run as a Windows 95 service using the .inf file provided.

NIST keeps the primary frequency (time) standard for the United States, and operates a special server using the Network Time Protocol (NTP) to allow Internet users to get the time from them! Of course, if youre not based in the US, dont worry, you can go to the NTP Homepage and get a listing of servers worldwide, so you can pick the one closest to you.
Once ATS is set up, you can have it periodically set your system clock; plus it even has a built-in NTP server so you can synchronize all of your other computers quickly and easily! You can even specify a custom time offset to ensure that it sets your clock just the way you like it (I like my clocks 10 minutes fast, so Im always a bit early).
