To do this, you need to stick to GPL (GNU General Public License). Thats why the owner has released these modifications as well. This client support separate downloading.
Direct Connect allows you to share files over the internet without restrictions or limits.
Because DC++ is a self contained C++ program it doesnt need installing as such - simply download and unzip the zip file, copy the contents into a directory and double click the .exe application.
Setup is simple too - once the application is running simply go to File>Settings... or click the icon on the Toolbar and you should see the settings pop-up.
DC++ is very easy to use. File>Public Hubs (or CTRL+P) brings up the Public Hubs and Connection Window then all you do is simply wait for the hub list to appear and double click a hub to connect to it.

I2P is an anonymous network, exposing a simple layer that applications can use to anonymously and securely send messages to each other. The network itself is strictly message based (ala IP), but there is a library available to allow reliable streaming communication on top of it (ala TCP). I2P is an application that allows users to compunicate via IP address.
All communication is end to end encrypted (in total there are four layers of encryption used when sending a message), and even the end points ("destinations") are cryptographic identifiers (essentially a pair of public keys).
To anonymize the messages sent, each client application has their I2P "router" build a few inbound and outbound "tunnels" - a sequence of peers that pass messages in one direction (to and from the client, respectively).
In turn, when a client wants to send a message to another client, the client passes that message out one of their outbound tunnels targeting one of the other clients inbound tunnels, eventually reaching the destination. Every participant in the network chooses the length of these tunnels, and in doing so, makes a tradeoff between anonymity, latency, and throughput according to their own needs.
The result is that the number of peers relaying each end to end message is the absolute minimum necessary to meet both the senders and the receivers threat model.

This librarys oversampling feature may provide higher quality of audio processing. This library includes XMMS / beep media player (BMP) / audacious plugins and sample programs, which can be used to test the sound effect easily.
Since this library is under development, please report any bugs or advices. This library also includes VST plugin (vstsdk 2.4) which can be used in various VST host applications. Current VST plugin is alpha version, so you should use them carefully.
