STOIK Noise Autofix v.1.5 implements the latest automatic noise reduction algorithm developed by STOIK Imaging. The program cleans noise in photos from different sources including digital cameras, cameraphones, and scanners. The main internal modules of the program are noise detector, noise analyzer and noise suppression filter. Noise detector finds noise and distinguishes it from natural image textures and fine details. It is based on statistical Bayesian classifier. It was pre-trained on most typical noise types and it can be trained additionally to take into account new specific noise patterns. Audio denoising software that uses new technologies to remove (without filtering) noise out of digital audio recording. Digitized old LPs and other recordings are turned into almost-CD-quality sound files.

Noise Filter is an iMovie plug-in that takes a page out of elementary noise reduction school. But who says that simple principles dont work? We have developed this plug after an email from Kevin Killion, who pointed us to a simple way astronomers reduce background noise in their photographs: they digitally combine, and then average multiple pictures of the same part of the sky.

Of course, with moving media the results can be less than stellar (pun intented). We found out that it does work, especially if you have a clip filmed under high-gain, low-light conditions. Our plug works by combining the last n (user configurable from 1 to 10) frames, and averaging them.

Therefore, if you have any fast-moving objects in the clip, they will exhibit ghost trails. Depending on their speed, these trails will be more or less pronounced. Very fast objects (i.e those that appear in only one or two frames) will disappear entirely (which is, of course, the definition of noise reduction).

PDL::Reduce is Perl module that helps to reduce functions for PDL.

Many languages have a reduce function used to reduce the rank of an N-D array by one. It works by applying a selected operation along a specified dimension. This module implements such a function for PDL by providing a simplified interface to the existing projection functions (e.g. sumover, maximum, average, etc).

reduce provides a simple and unified interface to the projection functions and makes people coming from other data/array languages hopefully feel more at home.

· this slider controls the relative frequency of occurrence of the disturbance.
severity:
· this controls how severe each disturbance may be. each disturbance only affects a single scan line.
noise:
· this controls if the disturbance is noise 1/noise 2 only, or if the noise is purely random colored. for more realistic disturbances, only allow only two colors.
