Net Watch is a free tool that will get the statistics for all the network adapters located on the machine that it runs on. It can help determine how much band is coming and going out. Its not exactly real time stats on the Bytes Received an Sent. These values are gathered by windows.

True, it also worked without. But over time I got fed up with wasting so much time using tools that were not exactly designed for what I was trying to do and were lacking simple features, that would make things so much easier and that I knew were not that complex to implement, but just werent available...
