  • NCImportRegister - Registers your copy of NC Import for Bricscad
  • NCImportAbout - Displays the NC Import for Bricscad About box

The NC File Format

Numerical Control (NC) was the precursor of today's Computer Numerical Control (CNC), which controls the automation of machine tools and the inherent tool processes for which they are designed. The set of instructions, or "program" (usually an ASCII text file in which, in its simplest form, a line of text specifies the axial coordinates of a point in the work envelope) is prepared from a blueprint or CAD file and transferred to the memory of the CNC via floppy drive, serial data interface or a network connection. Once stored in the CNC memory and selected, the program is executed by pressing the appropriate key on the machine operator panel.

Major Features:

  1. CNC Machines worldwide use Numeric Control files (.nc, .ncc or .cnc) to convert programmed instructions to tool movement. NC programs consist of a sequence of codes with parameter data to arrive at a precise description of the toolpath.
  2. NC Import for Bricscad reads NC program files and recreates the toolpath in 3D.
  3. NC Import for Bricscad converts the commands in NC files into corresponding line, arc or circle entities and adds them to the active drawing.
  4. NC Import for Bricscad is very easy to use.
  5. Once installed, it must be loaded into the Bricscad environment.
  6. Follow the simple instructions in the ReadMe document which can be found in the installation folder. Once loaded it adds new commands to Bricscad's existing commands and a new submenu called "NCImport" to the Bricscad menu containing these newly added commands.

Program Description: 15 VS 30 YEAR MORTGAGE This program is a version that allows you to compare a 15 year mortgage with one that has a duration of 30 years. It will run under Win 95, 98, Me, NT4, XP,2000,& Vista. If you itemize deductions, then you know the IRS allows you to deduct mortgage interest. This subsidizing of a mortgage means you can receive credit for the increased interest you pay on a 30 year loan. The basic premise of this evaluation is that if the buyer could afford the monthly payments for the shorter term (and would invest the difference in monthly payments according to the instructions), at certain rates of return on the investment it would be more advantageous to obtain the 30 year mortgage. Printouts are professional looking and may be used by financial planners as they contain a "prepared by:" area. This program may also be useful to lending institutions in advising a client on the term of a mortgage..

  • An IGES file is composed of 80-character ASCII records, a record length derived from the punch card era. Text strings are represented in "Hollerith" format, the number of characters in the string, followed by the letter "H", followed by the text string, e.g., "4HSLOT"

Major Features:

  1. IGES files contain graphical data in the form widely accepted by most CAD/CAM systems. IGES Import for IntelliCAD converts this geometric data into corresponding IntelliCAD entities and adds them to the contents of the currently opened IntelliCAD drawing.
  2. IGES Import for IntelliCAD is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the IntelliCAD environment. Follow the simple instructions in the Getting Started document which can be found in the installation folder.
  3. Once loaded it adds new commands to IntelliCAD's existing commands and a new submenu called "IGESImport" to the IntelliCAD menu containing these newly added commands.

VTK Import for Solid Edge 1.0 is a Visualization Toolkit (.vtk) file import add-in for Solid Edge® which gives Solid Edge the ability to import geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files.

VTK Import for Solid Edge reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into Solid Edge. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular or quad faces. VTK Import for Solid Edge creates trimmed planar surfaces for each triangle/quad and knits them together to create a body. If the polygon mesh is closed (i.e. it does not contain boundary edges) then VTK Import for Solid Edge will create a closed body feature, otherwise an open surface will be created.

VTK Import for Solid Edge is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into Solid Edge and adds a new submenu called "VTK Import for Solid Edge" to the Solid Edge Add Ins menu.

Instructions: Since VTK Import for Solid Edge is an add-in for Solid Edge, it must be loaded into the Solid Edge environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the VTK Import for Solid Edge ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the add-in file into Solid Edge, simply click on the menu items in the "VTK Import for Solid Edge" submenu to run these new commands.

Major Features:

The 'VTK Import for Solid Edge' menu consists of the following commands:

  1. Import - Imports a VTK file
  2. Help - Displays the VTK Import for Solid Edge help file
  3. Register - Registers your copy of VTK Import for Solid Edge
  4. About - Displays the VTK Import for Solid Edge About box

DISLIN is a high-level library of subroutines and functions that display data graphically. It is intended to be a powerful and easy to use software package for programmers and scientists that does not require knowledge of hardware features. The software is available for the programming languages C, Fortran 77, Fortran 90, Perl, Python and Java. DISLIN can display graphic information directly on graphic terminals or store them in metafiles. The supported display types are VGA, X Windows, Windows API and Tektronix. The supported file formats are GKSLIN, CGM, HPGL, PostScript, PDF, SVG, WMF, PNG and TIFF. The library contains the following features:

- 9 software fonts where each font provides 6 alphabets. Hardware fonts for PostScript printers, X11 fonts for X11 displays and TrueType fonts for Windows 95/98/NT displays and WMF files can also be used. The different aphabets contain Roman, Greek, Russian, mathematical and special European characters. Plotting of mathematical formulas with TeX instructions.

- Plotting of two- and three-dimensional axis systems. Axes can be linearly or logarithmically scaled and labeled with linear, logarithmic, date, time, map and user-defined formats.

- Plotting of curves. Several curves can appear in one axis system and can be differentiated by colour, line style and pattern. Multiple axis systems can be displayed on a page.

- Plotting of legends.

- Elementary plot routines for lines, vectors and outlined or filled regions such as rectangles, circles, arcs, ellipses and polygons.

- Shielded regions can be defined.

- Business graphics.

- 3-D colour graphics.

- 3-D graphics.

- Elementary image routines.

- Geographical projections and plotting of maps.

- Contouring.

- Graphical user interface (GUI) routines based on Motif and Windows API functions.

- English manuals in PostScript, PDF and HTML format are available.
