The NC File Format

IGES Import for IntelliCAD converts this geometric data into corresponding IntelliCAD entities and adds them to the contents of the currently opened IntelliCAD drawing.

Installation & Usage:

Since IGES Import for IntelliCAD is a plug-in for IntelliCAD powered applications, it must be loaded into the application's environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the IGES Import for IntelliCAD Getting Started document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into the IntelliCAD powered application, simply click on the menu items in the "IGESImport" submenu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

The 'IGESImport' menu consists of the following commands:

• IGES Import - Imports an IGES file
• IGES Impor tHelp - Displays the IGES Import for IntelliCAD help file
• IGES Import Register - Registers your copy of IGES Import for IntelliCAD

The IGES File Format:

• The Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES) file format standard was developed to address the incompatibility issue with various CAD/CAM systems. This standard allows efficient and accurate exchange of product definition data across almost all CAD/CAM systems.
• An IGES file is composed of 80-character ASCII records, a record length derived from the punch card era. Text strings are represented in "Hollerith" format, the number of characters in the string, followed by the letter "H", followed by the text string, e.g., "4HSLOT"

VTK Import for Solid Edge 1.0 is a Visualization Toolkit (.vtk) file import add-in for Solid Edge® which gives Solid Edge the ability to import geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files.

VTK Import for Solid Edge reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into Solid Edge. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular or quad faces. VTK Import for Solid Edge creates trimmed planar surfaces for each triangle/quad and knits them together to create a body. If the polygon mesh is closed (i.e. it does not contain boundary edges) then VTK Import for Solid Edge will create a closed body feature, otherwise an open surface will be created.

VTK Import for Solid Edge is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into Solid Edge and adds a new submenu called "VTK Import for Solid Edge" to the Solid Edge Add Ins menu.

DISLIN is a high-level library of subroutines and functions that display data graphically. It is intended to be a powerful and easy to use software package for programmers and scientists that does not require knowledge of hardware features. The software is available for the programming languages C, Fortran 77, Fortran 90, Perl, Python and Java. DISLIN can display graphic information directly on graphic terminals or store them in metafiles. The supported display types are VGA, X Windows, Windows API and Tektronix. The supported file formats are GKSLIN, CGM, HPGL, PostScript, PDF, SVG, WMF, PNG and TIFF. The library contains the following features:

- 9 software fonts where each font provides 6 alphabets. Hardware fonts for PostScript printers, X11 fonts for X11 displays and TrueType fonts for Windows 95/98/NT displays and WMF files can also be used. The different aphabets contain Roman, Greek, Russian, mathematical and special European characters. Plotting of mathematical formulas with TeX instructions.

- Plotting of two- and three-dimensional axis systems. Axes can be linearly or logarithmically scaled and labeled with linear, logarithmic, date, time, map and user-defined formats.
