DropZip 1 is created as a tool for dragging a ZIP or RAR file (or even multiple ZIP/RAR files) onto the DropZip icon and the name will be changed into the same name with each ZIP or RAR file. Drag your Zip file hello.zip from My Documents onto the icon. Look in My Documents, there will be a new folder called hello.
It also has another feature if you drop a folder (it must be one folder on its own) then that folder will be converted to a ZIP file (note the folder won't be deleted). This is not designed to be a replacement for your normal ZIP or RAR programs; instead, it is designed for convenience when you need to quickly unzip or unrar something.

If you didnt already know, the Zip format is the industry standard format for storing files and folders in a single, tightly-compressed archive. Windows XP even has built-in support for Zip archives. If you have Windows XP, then Tech-Pro Zip supplements this built-in support by providing a separate Zip / Unzip application. You can use Tech-Pro Zip instead of Windows XPs Explorer, or as an alternative. We think you may find that Tech-Pro Zip is actually a more convenient way to work with Zip files!
As well as a Zip manager for working with Zip files, Tech-Pro Zip adds options to Windows Explorer context menus enabling you to quickly convert folders to Zip files, and convert Zip files to folders.
