Audio Identifier is a FREE audio inspector. You can browse through your
audio collection with it and it will show you useful information,
like average bitrate, used encoder and settings, guessed quality etc.
It has Unicode support, the capability of exporting data as HTML and much,
much more.
It supports many audio formats: MPEG Audio (mp3), MPEGplus (mpc),
WAV (wav), TwinVQ (vqf), Ogg Vorbis (ogg), Windows Media Audio (wma),
AAC (aac), Speex (spx), Monkeys Audio (ape), WavPack (wv), FLAC (flac),

Mp3tag 2.43b Beta / 2.43 Final is a useful program created to edit metadata (ID3, Vorbis Comments and APE) of common audio formats.

The program supports online freedb database lookups for selected files, allowing you to automatically gather proper tag information for select files or CDs.

Use Subsonic to share your music with friends, or to listen to your own music while at work. You can stream to multiple players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and another in your living room.
Subsonic is designed to handle very large music collections (many thousand albums). Subsonic uses a combination of directory structure and tag parsing to organize the music.
Although optimized for MP3 streaming, it works for any audio or video format that can stream over HTTP (for instance AAC and OGG). By using transcoder plug-ins, Subsonic supports on-the-fly conversion and streaming of virtually any audio format, including FLAC, APE, WMA, Musepack, WavPack, Shorten and OptimFROG.
If you have constrained bandwidth, you may set an upper limit for the bitrate of the music streams. Subsonic will then automatically resample the music to a suitable bitrate.
In addition to being a streaming media server, Subsonic works very well as a local jukebox. The intuitive web interface, as well as search and index facilities, are optimized for efficient browsing through large media libraries.

- The Subsonic server requires Java (version 5.0 or later) and a JSP container such as Tomcat (version 5.5 or later), both of which are available at no charge.
