Pegasus Mail 4.51
An e-mail client suitable for use by single or multiple users on single computers or on local area networks more>>
Pegasus Mail 4.51 offers you an efficient e-mail client that runs on computers using Microsoft Windows: by client, it interacts directly with the user, allowing mail to be sent, read, filed, printed and otherwise manipulated through a graphical interface. Probably one of the most feature-rich mail clients available, most users say that they find the program easy to use despite its richness. Small and fast, Pegasus Mail can be left running permanently on the workstation and includes powerful tools to notify the user when new mail arrives.
Pegasus Mail can run on single Windows computers, or local area networks - it has special support for Novell NetWare LANs that allow it to operate intuitively and with almost no maintenance. The program also supports multiple users on a single computer. Versions are available for both 32-bit Windows (Windows 98, NT4, 2000, XP and Vista) and 16-bit Windows (any version of Windows 3.1 or later). Pegasus Mail can act as a complete internal mail system on its own without needing further servers or components: it can send and receive Internet mail on its own using standard protocols (SMTP, IMAP and POP3). By adding Mercury Mail Transport System as a mail server, you can provide fully-integrated centralized Internet e-mail services and mailing list management for your Pegasus Mail users.
Major Features:
- Multilingual availability - available with fully-translated French, German and Italian interfaces, as well as English.
- Security, security, security: Pegasus Mail protects you from even the worst HTML-borne virus and trojans, and protects your privacy by intercepting web bugs. Pegasus Mail is immune to *all* the exploits that affect the "other" mailer - browse your mail with genuine confidence.
- View your folders in either a multi-pane mode (like the "other" mailer) or in Pegasus Mail's powerful "classic" mode, where each folder has its own window and can be manipulated separately. Switching between these views is as simple as clicking a single button.
- Mail filtering; Pegasus Mail pioneered this in 1991, and it's still the most powerful implementation of automated rule-based filtering you'll find in a mail client.
- Bayesian filtering - Pegasus Mail's built-in Spamhalter Bayesian filter learns from the spam you receive and automatically files it in your junk folder.
- Content control allows you to apply comprehensive rules to trap spam and unwanted mail
- MailMerge allows you to create customized form letters to multiple recipients
- Support for all major Internet mail-related protocols - SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, LDAP, PH
- SSL Support on all protocols for secure mail access

- Complete support for Novell NetWare local area networks, in both NDS and Bindery modes.

- View attachments directly from within the program
- Supports confirmation of reading and confirmation of delivery requests
- Glossaries allow you to store commonly-used texts and expand them with a single keystroke
- Automatic replies and automatic forwarding when interfaced with our Mercury mail server
- Powerful encryption interface - the program has its own encryptor, and by adding readily available plugins, can support encryptors such as PGP.
- Noticeboards allow controlled posting and reading in public mail areas, much like Internet news.
- Optional copies to self ("sent mail" in other programs), with the ability to prompt for a folder where the copy should be placed, and full mail filtering support to file your copies.
- Selectable and user-adjustable toolbars

Izemail has come with the ability to encrypt and sign your e-mail messages more>>
Izemail 1.7 has come with the ability to encrypt and sign your e-mail messages, just by pressing the Send button in your e-mail program with Izemail. No need to exchange encryption keys or certificates, no need to go through complex enrollment procedures. The program allows you to send an encrypted and signed message, and all you need to know is their e-mail address.
This program uses widespread standards for e-mail encryption such as S/MIME and PKI, making it compatible with any technology that supports S/MIME or PKI. It can read, decrypt and verify messages sent by these other systems. This program takes your message, encrypts it and delivers it to the recipient.
If recipient doesn't already have an encryption key, the program makes sure they get one. Also, the software can use X.509 certificates issued by any CA that complies with PKI standards. It does not require you to use Izemail certificates.

Macallan Mail Solution 4.9.01.006
a Freeware Mail Server for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows 2000 more>> Macallan Mail Solution is a Freeware Mail Server (SMTP/POP3/IMAP/HTTP/NEWS/SSL) for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows 2000 that works with clients such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook. It manage local Mails and eMails, incoming eMails from the Internet and outgoing eMails to external mail addresses.
Filtering mechanisms against Spammers using DNSBL (DNS Black List) and your own Keywords Black List / Friend List are included. Mechanisms against Virus can be used with your Anti-Virus.
Replies can be sent automatically for those abusing Spams and Virus to providers. SpamAssassin can be used.
Mail Clients software such as Opera, Pegasus Mail, Beonex Communicator, The Bat!, Eudora, Mozilla, Mozilla ThunderBird, are supported by the IMAP protocol developed internally. Other mail clients may normally work.
Normally all POP3 Clients should work.
PHP is supported thru IMAP functions. Functions as imap_open, imap_listmailbox, imap_headers, imap_fetch_overview, imap_body, imap_fetchbody, imap_close have been partially tested. Other functions may normally work.
A sample application using PHP that displays mails is available for download (36Ko).
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) are supported thru OpenSSL libraries.
The local SMTP and the local POP3 accounts are now limited to 128 (previously 32). The number of external accounts collected using the retriever is not limited (except by program capacity). There is no time or features limitation. If you need more accounts send me an email.
The program has been tested with 1700 simulated concurrent POP3 users on a Pentium P4 2.4 GHz 512 Mb running Windows NT 2000 Server.
But the suitable range of concurrent users is more likely 100 to 400 concurrent users. (My home computers description).<<less
