Major Features:
- The design screen accepts inputs for the operating frequency, the load as seen by the final amplifier tube *, the intermediate impedance if the L-network is to be used, the output load value and the Q value for the PI-network.
- The above values have defaults for program startup. After using the program, your current values are saved for easy program restart.
- In addition to simply entering values into the text boxes, "tuning" buttons allow tuning the intermediate impedance up or down in 1% steps and immediately seeing the new component values on the schematic.
- The Q value for the PI network is entered and tuned in that same manner.
- Regardless of whether an "out of bounds" value is entered via a textbox or by tuning, the program examines the values and limits them to values which are acceptable.
- Click on the Plot button and see transmission and return plotted. On the plot are indicated the responses for the fundamental, the second and third harmonics. Those items are also shown in tabular form at the bottom of the screen.
- After the design has progressed to a particular point you may click on Save to save the plot. Later you may recall that plot by clicking on the Get button.
- Design methods using tables are now history.

Super PI will use FFT arithmetic and Borweins quartically-convergent algorithm and is a Windows port of the program used by Yasumasa Kanada in 1995 to compute Pi to 232 digits.
Super PI also uses x87 floating-point unit, so it will favor processors with good FPU performance, such as AMD Athlon 64, Intel Core 2.
In August 1995, the calculation of pi up to 4,294,960,000 decimal digits was succeeded by using a supercomputer at the University of Tokyo.
The program was written by D.Takahashi and he collaborated with Dr. Y.Kanada at the computer center, the University of Tokyo.
This record should be the current world record.
This record-breaking program was ported to personal computer environment
such as Windows NT and Windows 95.
In order to calculate 33.55 million digits, it takes within 3 days with Pentium 90MHz, 40MB main memory and 340MB available storage.

TOP1000 Results 1, machins formula. Machins formula is used for calculating 10000 first decimals of pi. Method uses only integer math and stresses most memory of these three tests.
TOP1000 Results 2, leibniz serie. This is very slow method for calculating pi value, it takes about 1 billion cycles to get, if i remember this correctly, 10 digits calculated. Method uses only floating point math.
TOP1000 Results 3, monte carlo estimation. Is really only one way to estimate pi, and not even too accurate after 20000000 iterations. Euclids method, bases on integer comparision and math is left almost totally out. Very simple integer math.
TOP1000 Results 4, anonymous formula. Uses floating point math and large number of iterations, routine itself is not too complex
TOP1000 results Total Time, of total calculation time of all above pi calculation tests. This is where we are able to see the benefits of multiple cpus in one system. A bit modified pi test now available to download will use one thread for each cpu that is installed on to the system. However, in two cpu system will first do 2 first tests, then remaining two. Super Pi is used by many overclockers to test the performance and stability of their computers. In the overclocking community, the standard program provides a benchmark for enthusiasts to compare "world record" pi calculation times and demonstrate their overclocking abilities. If a computer is able to calculate PI to the 32 millionth place after the decimal without mistake, it is considered to be moderately stable in terms of RAM and CPU.
