This source code will enable you to plot the solutions to scientific and engineering problems. The Visual C++ programming environment was chosen for realization of numerical computation techniques.
Visual C++ includes many advanced features that make it especially suitable for scientific and engineering computations. Visual C++ is also widely used; there is a wealth of information available on how to program with it.
Many of the features of Visual C++ enable you to write computer programs that can perform useful numerical computations.
It includes an extensive set of mathematical functions. You may define classes of data together with methods to perform abstract operations such as vector and matrix arithmetic.
A new project can be set up in the Visual C++ 6.0 environment using the following steps:
- Select New from File menu.
- In the New dialog box select "Win32 Application" and enter a project name.
- Then press the "Ok" button.
- In the Win32 Application dialog box select "A simple Win32 Application" then press the "Finish" button.
- Press "Ok" in the New Project Information dialog box.
- Open the *.cpp file for entry of the program. (We do not edit StdAfx.h or StdAfx.cpp; VC++ requires these files.)
Enter, or copy, the following code into the empty application source file created using the process above. Here, the plotter class files are stored in a common directory so that they can be re-used for several plotting programs.
You must add the plotter source file plotter.cpp to the Visual C++ project in order for the program to compile and link successfully.

RapidMiner 4.2: Focus on Large-Scale Data Mining
This release is a minor bugfix and major feature release. The access to databases is improved and provides now constant access times for databases with arbitrary sizes. The focus on large-scale data mining is also demonstrated by the re-implementations of several learning schemes leading to a boost in running time of up to an factor of 13. Several unnecessary data scans were removed leading to further reduced runtimes.
General Improvements:
Aggregation now supports multiple grouping and multiple aggregation attributes with different aggregation functions each
Date type now better supported including several powerful conversion operators for almost arbitrary date and time formats
Histogram plotters now support jittering and log scales
Improved database wizard now supporting larger data sets which caused memory problems in the older versions during table and attribute name retrieval
Statistics for larger data sets are now only calculated on request
Reduced the iteration time through partitioned / splitted data sets
All plotters can now handle missing values

GhostScript is a tool for converting PostScript to various other formats like JPEG, TIFF, PDF GhostScript is a great application for converting PostScript to various other formats like JPEG, TIFF, PDF (Yes, it can compete with Adobe Acrobat Distiller!).
PStoEdit by Wolfgang Glunz is a separate tool that calls GhostScript and converts to vector formats like AutoCAD DXF and to WMF.
GoBatchGS is a front-end that I made to process multiple PostScript and PDF files, running these tools. Normally GhostScript is run from a command line with numerous options. 100% flexible but not so easy to use.
For single files GSView is a friendlier option. But that didnt offer what I needed: a simple way to process a bunch of PostScript files. So I created GoBatchGS.
The most important output formats are implemented. As well as the most important options like resolution and JPEG quality and even the option to merge PDF output. Also processes and prints directly to HP printers and plotters. More info about GoBatchGS.
Main features:
- Select as many files as you want and convert them to the desired format with simple mouseclicks
- Output to rasterformats JPEG, PNG and TIFF
- Output to mixed formats PDF, EPS

The Tortoise Diary was born as a tracking system which at a touch of a button could report the last years weight loss of terry the tortoise in hibernation, a filing system for good house keeping one that could keep all the records neatly organised in together but then could fetch one instantly, a plotter which you could visually show the growth rate over a given time span to help diagnose health issues, weight gain or loss rate, and help to determine females which could be retaining eggs.
Numbers are great for computers and calculators but when there's pages of figures for each tortoise nothing beats a plotted graph to see a clearer picture of his / hers development, If there had been no historical data recorded much of the knowledge we have now would most certainly be lacking.
