PLS in Windows Media will allow you to play PLS (Winamp Streaming Files) from sources like Shoutcast, SomaFM, Sky.fm, or any other WinAmp PLS compatible site. Stick to the non-aac streams for now. There will be more information on how to get those working later.

A client showing how to use Bio::Biblio module, a module for accessing and querying a bibliographic repository. It also shows how to use modules Bio::Biblio::IO::medlinexml Bio::Biblio::IO::medline2ref which converts XML MEDLINE citations into a simple hash table and into full Perl objects.

It has many options in order to cover as many methods as possible. Because of that, it can be also used as a fully functional command-line client for querying repository and retrieving citations from it.

Load .pls playlists in MPD is a service menu for KDE that can load one or several ".pls" files (playlists) into current MPDs playlist.

If your version of MPD supports it, this works for playlists containing URLs as well, such as the ones that can be found on Shoutcast.

The program "mpc" is required for this to work.

The file is to be put in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/.

Playlist-repair scans music-playlists (PLS and M3U) for dead-links (moved or renamed files) and double entries.

The search-enginge finds moved and similar named files and replaces the wrong entrys in the playlist.

When your PDA is in the cradle it copy MP3 files from your Desktop PC to the device. You can configure when it should copy files and how much data should be transferred.

If your MP3 files are spread over several directories on your Desktop PC, you just need to point Playlist Sync to the folder, where your Winamp playlists are located. Playlist Sync has support for the following playlist sources:

asx - Windows Media Player
pls - Shoutcast / Icecast

FAPG is a tool to generate list of audio files (WAV, MP3, Ogg, etc.) in various formats (M3U, PLS, HTML, etc). It is very useful for quickly creating a playlist of a large number of audio files.

It is coded in C to be as fast as possible, and does not use any specific audio library (like ID3Lib).
This allow you to deploy it faster and easier, and to have better performances since the less informations are loaded.
In the other hand, this tool is not (yet) compatible with all the known formats.
