File Shredder 2 is an effective program which is designed to securely shred files and folders on computer.
Files deleted with File Shredder can not be retrieved back. File Shredder supports multiple shredding algorithms up to 7 passes, US government compliant DoD 5220-22.M, Guttman method, shell integration on right click in Windows, Disk Wiper to shred unused free space.
With File Shredder you can remove files from your hard drive without fear they could be recovered. There are quite a few software tools today for retrieval of deleted files under Windows OS. Those tools, often referred to as "file recovery" software, are taking advantage of shortcoming of WIndows "delete" command that all are used regularly to delete files. Actually, the "delete" operation in Windows only removes bits of information from files so they appear deleted in OS. It is easy to retrieve those files using aforementioned specialized file recovery software.
Major Features:
- Add File(s) - Click to add files ready to be shredded. A file picker will appear. Select one or more files and press open. The files will appear in main pane. You can add as manu files as you want. Note that adding the files into shredding queue does not delete them and you can remove the files from queue latter
- Add Folder(s) - Click to add folders ready to be shredded. A folder picker will appear. Select a folder and press open. The folder will appear in main pane. You can add as manu folders as you want but you have to add them one by one. The whole folder structure is added including files and subfolders.
- Remove Selected - Click to remove a file(s) or folder(s) from the shredding queue. Don't confuse this option with Shred Files Now, this option only removes files that are intended for shredding from the queue and no changes are made to the actual files or folders on hard drive.
- Remove All - Click to remove all file(s) or folder(s) from the shredding queue. This option does the same as Remove Selected but it will clean the complete queue. No changes to files and folders on hard drive will occur.
- Shred Free Disk Space - This option will shred unused or free disk space across the whole disk volume. For instance, this option is very useful if you haven't shred your unwanted files regularly but instead you used regular windows delete command and now you want your previously deleted files unretrievable. Those files now can not be shredded by picking them since they are already deleted. This option will enforce shredding of everything you have deleted once using the regular delete command, whether it was yesterday or months ago.
- Shred Free Disk Space - After you picked the files ready to be shredded click on this button to execute permanent removal of files. Warning: this option can not be undone, make sure you haven't picked non intended files accidentally.

Gedcom Viewer opens a Gedcom and displays the full family tree - all on a single screen, even for hundreds of people. Gedcom Viewer opens a Gedcom (GEnealogical Data COMmunication) format file, exported from your Genealogy program, and displays the full family tree - all on a single screen, even for hundreds of people.
You can then use the mouse to navigate the tree, with lightning-fast highlighting of (e.g.) close relatives, descendants, ancestors etc., then optimise the tree diagram for just the people selected.
Gedcom Viewer also allows you to see Name, Birthdate, etc., find individuals, calculate and show inbreeding levels, zoom, etc.
The program reads Gedcom files (*.ged), as generated by popular Family Tree programs, and displays the full pedigree structure on the screen. Each individual is represented by full name, or by another field such as Sex, Birth Date or Inbreeding level.
This current version of Gedcom Viewer can display up to 10 additional fields when a pedigree file (*.ped) is opened.
You can display a large pedigree of thousands of individuals all on the screen at the one time. Each individual is represented exactly once, which is necessary to provide a rational pedigree diagram.
Data are overlapped on the screen for such large pedigrees, but in one mode an individuals information is highlighted as the mouse cursor passes over. You can ask to find an individual(s) by identity, or, for *.ped files, by merit or merit range for a given trait, if included, such as height.
A single click changes between fields, or displays just relatives (of chosen degree) of the individual clicked. With one more click you can then organise the pedigree picture to be most clear for just those individuals.
You can also zoom into interesting parts of the pedigree, change the font displaying data, check for logical errors, alter the display of pedigree links and make other manipulations to give a suitable display, and print the result. Inbreeding coefficients and can be calculated and added to the list of displayable data.
For pedigree files (*.ped), individuals of high merit can be shaded more brightly, giving quick access to those with high merit.
Gedcom Viewer can be useful for navigating around a pedigreed family tree data set to get a feel for its structure and any construction problems it might contain. It can be used to quickly find interesting features, such as loops leading to inbreeding.
