It is essential to update antivirus databases on a regular basis. If you do not do this, your antivirus program will not detect new malicious programs. This is why we release updates every hour, to ensure that users are protected against the latest malware.
Antivirus solutions from Kaspersky Lab not only detect malicious software, but other programs which are potentially harmful, such as:

Zip-archives should be unpacked into a separate directory, which should then be indicated in the automatic update module as a local folder.
Daily - contains all updates and modifications released during the current week. The current week starts from the previous Friday, when the last weekly update was released. Previous weeks updates - contains all updates and modifications released during the previous week (a full version of the weeks daily.zip). It is placed on the server once a week, on Friday. PopupKiller does not install any adware/spyware software. It accesses our webserver for an updated list of advertisment links. If you notice popup advertisments despite our PopupKiller please notify us about the site using the menu item provided for this. The problem will be fixed remotely. Please note that advertisments provided as images may appear in a page, but clicking on them will not load another window unless you hold down the left Ctrl key.
PopupKiller starts automatically. The icon sits in the system tray. Right click on it to access the menu. You can turn off/on the automatic start, and activate/deactivate the program. You can also turn off the beep. Temporarily deactivation: hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on a link. Depending on your Internet Browser settings PopupKiller might prevent opening some linked web pages or downloading files (page not found message will occur). In these cases deactivate PopupKiller and activate it again after execution. When PopupKiller kills a window you may hear a beep and the icons color will blink. The deactivation will not affect website restrictions and advertisments displayed on a page. Extremely agressive advertisments running in child windows may be killed together with their parent. These preventive actions can be bypassed only by unchecking the Active menu.
PopupKiller is free. In fact, you are encouraged to send it to others. It provides a one click mail notification sent to your buddies.
