Primivol is a set of 4 volumetric primitives for Carrara 3 and 4.
It contains a Fire primitive, a Cloud one, a Smog and a Rising Smoke. But these 4 primitives are in fact some build in presets of a far more generalist volumetric renderer.
Primivol can render any 3D shader as a volumetric primitive, and can alter their shape with a set of modifiers and ramp-off functions.
Lighting, density, color, self-shadow and many other parameters are accessible through the interface and can be precisely adjusted and animated.

With the Harmonix plug-in, you are able to mix harmonic frequencies into complex waves.
Harmonix renders a single, horizontal line on the image, but this is no ordinary line. It is the result of superimposing up to ten separate harmonic frequencies, scaled to the screen.
You can change the up to ten harmonic frequencies in both amplitude (volume/height) and phase (offset/shift) and have precise control over the base frequency.
Use it to create realistic graphs or demonstrate how to create other basic waveforms from nothing but carefully selected harmonic frequencies.
From the harmonic sine waves you can mix together the "primitive" square, saw tooth and triangle waves but also more complex combinations.
Harmonix requires a Photoshop plug-in compatible graphics applications on Windows.

Rock Band 2 MIDI 0.13 is a very wonderful audio recording tool which uses your Rock Band 2 drums as a handy MIDI controller for your digital audio workstation, and there didn't seem to be any freely available software to make this easy to do. The user interface is currently a little primitive, but it functions very effectively, achieving low latency during live performance.
