Add, remove reset sysex commands to, from midi binaries MIDRESET is a simple command line tool designed to set a reset sysex command (GM, XG, GS).
Main features:
- reads a binary midi file
- writes a binary midi file
- removes sysex reset commands (XG, GM, GS)
- optionally adds one or more sysex reset commands (XG, GM, GS) to beginning of midi song
Correct initialization of a midi output device (soundcard or keyboard) is necessary, or there might be problems with the programs (midi instruments) causing bad sound. Often midi files leave a device in an unexpectable state, so that next midi files that dont initialize continue playing within this state.

The problem is that this number can wind up wrong if you install and uninstall an email client that doesnt clean up after itself, have an email client crash or PC crash or other reasons.
Resetting it back to zero is rather simple for an advanced user (just edit a couple registry keys) but for a normal user, its not an easy task. So you can use the Reset Unread Mail Counts uitility to quickly reset the counter back to zero.
