This filter is designed to compensate the hue shift in overexposed images, a phenomenon which occurs due to color clipping in RGB space. Overexposed areas often suffer a hue shift towards yellow, cyan or magenta, whichever is closest to the original hue.

For example, skin tones turn yellowish when the flash was too close to the model. This is because the red channel - the dominant color in skin tones - is clipped resulting in too much green and, to a lesser extent, blue in proportion. Likewise the sky in otherwise correctly exposed images sometimes may look greener than in reality. In this case it is the blue channel which is clipped, leaving too much green.

Hue Restorer will find overexposed areas in an image and let you choose the hue to be restored. Correctly exposed regions will not be altered. Easy-to-use presets are available for restoration of skin tone and blue sky, respectively.

Speaker recognition is a tool to automatically recognizing who is speaking on the basis of individual information included in speech waves.
This technique makes it possible to use the speakers voice to verify their identity and control access to services such as voice dialing, banking by telephone, telephone shopping, database access services, information services, voice mail, security control for confidential information areas, and remote access to computers.
Speaker identity is correlated with the physiological and behavioral characteristics of the speaker. These characteristics exist both in the spectral envelope (vocal tract characteristics) and in the supra-segmental features (voice source characteristics and dynamic features spanning several segments).
The most common short-term spectral measurements currently used are Linear Predictive Coding (LPC)-derived cepstral coefficients and their regression coefficients.
A spectral envelope reconstructed from a truncated set of cepstral coefficients is much smoother than one reconstructed from LPC coefficients. Therefore it provides a stabler representation from one repetition to another of a particular speakers utterances.
As for the regression coefficients, typically the first- and second-order coefficients are extracted at every frame period to represent the spectral dynamics. These coefficients are derivatives of the time functions of the cepstral coefficients and are respectively called the delta- and delta-delta-cepstral coefficients.

An Open Source tool to accelerate your Internet downloads SpeedDemon works by downloading different parts of a file simultaneously and then recombining them to a location that you have previously specified.
SpeedDemon also allows you to resume disconnected downloads. If you specify mirror links, SpeedDemon will download the file such that the load on the servers are evenly distributed.
Please keep in mind that, some sites do not support resuming. In such cases , SpeedDemon just downloads the file in a single chunk. The URL entered must be complete. You can copy/cut/paste into the Add URLs pane or Add Mirrors pane by Ctrl + C / Ctrl + X / Ctrl + V respectively.
If you are a developer, it might interest you to know that SpeedDemon has been designed to support different protocols.
Support for any protocol can be developed by just implementing an Interface, packing it into a JAR file and then copying the JAR file into a specific directory. For more details, please refer the Architecture page.

The CCU is designed to minimize the time needed to create skeleton code in a variety of languages. It allows users to define objects in a friendly GUI or to import code from a text/binary file or a database. Once components have been created or imported, the CCU can output many flavors of source code.
The app is perfect for n-tier development in which coders are generally forced to redefine objects in several languages (SQL, HTML/JavaScript, Java, etc.).
Beyond just creating table definitions, forms and accessor/mutator methods (respectively), the CCU propagates validation code across several languages.
Use the CCU to define basic constraints (String length, number range/precision, regular expressions, etc.) and the appropriate check constraints, JavaScript validation and exception handling code (respectively) will be created.
The CCU is also useful for creating backwards compatible or cross-platform versions of code. A handy SQL script, for instance, might have different syntax for various databases. Instead of managing multiple scripts, updates can be made in one place and multiple versions of the code will be output automatically.
Of course, it is impossible to do perfect translation of certain algorithms or concepts. Its much easier to debug CCU output than to rewrite something from scratch, though. The app will remember which of its guesses you wish to override.
This means that when you make a slight update to your code, you wont need to re-address any of your previous output customizations. And when new languages are released, you can be reasonably sure that new versions of the CCU will allow you to extrapolate from your legacy code.
