Restore 6.4 is a completely free yet very powerful tool that allows you to restore old MSDOS or PCDOS floppy backups. Canadian Mind Products Restore works under all versions of PC and MS DOS from 2.0 to 7.0 and will restore diskettes created by DOS BACKUP 2.0 through 5.0. It runs fine under Windows or OS/2 in the DOS emulation box. You can use the command RESTORE A: [C:][path][filespec] [/S] [/P] [/Q] to restore files. For details of use see the enclosed RESTORE.TXT file.

* Software Dolby B remover
This is an advantage over using a hardware filter because the tape bias settings can be changed before the filter is used, which is especially useful if the sound of tapes has become dull because of tape wear and age. Also, any noise from the sound card is deminished by the Dolby B decoder. Calibration tones are provided to calibrate the software Dolby B remover against the encoder in the cassette recorder.
The filter that is offered by Tape Restore Live! is not a real software Dolby B decoder, but it is a close enough approximation to get a decent sound. Because of that it is referred to as a software Dolby B remover instead of a software Dolby B filter
* AZIMUTH correction
If the tape head is not set exactly identical to the setting when the tape was recorded, playing it back in mono or through a surround system will result in very ugly artifacts. The AZIMUTH correction calculates the correct tape head setting on the fly, and corrects for it, even if the tape head is moving during playback (which occurs on some tape decks).
* Tape hiss remover for mono recordings
Tape hiss is always stereo. Mono recordings are not... The mono tape hiss remover uses this fact to separate the tape hiss from the actual recording, and removes most of the hiss without damaging the real sound.

Recover deleted files or delete them for good with this small program. more>> Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while holding down the Shift key by mistake. Conversely, this program has another function that makes it almost impossible to restore all deleted files. You can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files and so on.
You dont have to install it, so it doesnt leave any garbage in the PC. (You can also run it from a floppy disk.) Even if a file seems to be restored, there is no guarantee that the contents are correct. After you run the program, please check the files.
You can probably restore it correctly if the drive has enough free space and if its just after deletion. If you restore a folder, there is no guarantee that all files or folders which used to belong to the folder will be in it. If you cant find them in it, please search and restore them one by one. If you still cant find them, its impossible to restore them. It will be almost impossible to restore any deleted files if you run the complete deletion function.
To be exact, fragments of deleted files can be in last clusters of existing files or allocated and unwritten files. (Note that this function is not suitable for TOP SECRET information.) Even if you find the information of completely deleted files, their contents must be erased. If you want to erase the information too, please run the function again.
When you use the restoration function, I dont think you will encounter any damage due to bugs, since the function doesnt write anything to physical sectors. However, the complete deletion function replaces physical sectors. Therefore, I confirmed that it worked without any problems by testing many times. As there is a rare possibility of damage or loss, please run the function at your own risk.<<less
