Originally, Revo has no built-in player, therefore you do not have possibility to playback sounds (the only way to hear them is to add these sound to alarm signals list). However, PsiWin can convert WAV files to EPOC sound format whilst copying them onto your Revo.
RevoSound is intended just for playing these files. It associates sound files with itself and can open them automatically at user request. It is a very simple application that do not have much control options.<<less

Essential Freeware Christmas Downloads 2009 is a collection of the most essential freeware applications bundled in a neat, all in one install package that allows all new PC owners to simply run the CD and have their new machine fully protected in less than a couple of minutes.
Simply download, unzip, burn the ISO file to a CD, and insert into your new machine. The CD will automatically start and give you a 1 minute countdown till the installations start. Clicking anywhere, once loaded, will stop the countdown and give you time to de-select those items you may not want to install, though we would highly recommend you install the "must haves" apps as a bare minimum. All software on the CD is from trusted big names, such as Avast, PC Tools, etc.

We have purposely omitted any firewall in this bundle as we intend this download to be utilised mostly by those with little computing experience but taking full advantage of the bundle on offer. Third party firewalls often require a degree of knowledge on the various PC processes to allow or deny them to run through the firewall and we felt this could overwhelm the new PC owner. Windows comes with its own built-in firewall which will run automatically and should provide at least a basic level of firewall protection until the user is ready to progress to a third party firewall.
If you do download and install a third party firewall, please be aware if it runs HIPS (host-intrusion prevention system) it should be disabled if you have installed another HIPS application (such as Threatfire).

zExe compresses executable files (applications) and libraries (dlls) written on C++ language. They are, for example, some Neuon and RMR programs, Opera, Web, WAP Browser, eshell, eDoom and many others (.exe, .app, .dll, .ctl, .opx, ...). Overall compression ratio is about 50%, thus you can save some MBytes of space by compressing such applications.
zExe works on-the-fly! You will run your compressed applications as before, from Extras bar or from EPOC shell. Nothing will be changed for you! zExe is fully invisible!
zExe works very fast! With zExe, compressed applications will being loaded almost as fast as uncompressed. Moreover, if you have a slow CF card, with zExe it will take a smaller time to load, uncompress and run than before.
zExe is extremely useful for Revo/Mako owners, who cannot enlarge disk space. Just compress disk-hungry Opera or Web executable (and some other ones) and free up to 2-3 MBytes of Revo / Revo Plus / Mako memory.
However, zExe cannot compress OPL applications (most of EPOC applications are written in OPL). The thing is that OPL applications are documents in fact, not real excecutables.<<less
