File Alias allows to change either all file types or just a certain type designated by its extension. File Alias utility changes names of files in a selected directory.
File Alias allows to change either all file types or just a certain type designated by its extension. The choice is made according to the Select Option.
The renamed files are placed to another directory if the "Copy To Another Folder" Save Option is set. Otherwise the renamed files replace their originals. New file names consist of the provided name and an increasing index, starting from 1 by default.
The initial index can be easily set in the range from 1 to 999. The "Expel From the List" button enables removing files from the rename list.

- UV-mapping - You can create uv-mapped meshes.
- POV-Ray Export - The models can be exported to an include file readable by the Persistence of Vision Ray Tracer. The files are designed to work with my New Surface Subdivision Suite to produce smooth, organic shapes.
- OBJ file export - The modeler can export Alias/Wavefront OBJ files.
- OpenGL for rendering - I would have used DirectX, but Microsoft made DirectX more difficult to program than was necessary.

Displays, adds or removes NetBIOS names for the Server service Network Alias is a simple command line tool that will display, add or remove NetBIOS names for the Server service. This allows a computer to be accessed using an alias, or a name other than the computer name. The Server service will also announce this alias to the browse list where it will be displayed in apps such as My Network Places and the NET VIEW command.
After a system restart, this alias will no longer exist. To make the alias
persistent, this tool would need to be scheduled to execute at system startup.
This alias will only be available as a UNC path (servershare), tools like
ping and nslookup will not be able to resolve it.
NOTE:
The new name may not appear in the browse list immediately, it may take up to 48 minutes, depending on the complexity of your network. Likewise, names removed from the network are not immediately removed from the browse list, it may take up to 72 minutes.
System requirements:
- NetBIOS must be enabled, and the Server service must be running
- File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks must be bound to each NIC
