Scale is a small freeware which presents some unusual tools to help in the design of forms, web pages, presentations and other visual materials. The main form is a Tool Bar, presented above, that you can position in a corner of the screen for easy use of the tools. The Tool Bar can be placed as an Icon in the system tray (13K) and, as all the other tools, can be moved freely around the screen and minimized to the task bar.

From the Tool bar you can open the Rule, to measure horizontal and vertical distances in 7 different units (pixels, twips, inches, centimeters, himetrics, characters and points); the Magnifier to enlarge, up to 30 times, any image or text in the screen (you can make precise measurement and color pick with this tool ); the Angle Measurement Tool, to measures angles formed by lines in the screen, in degrees and radians; the Color Mixer/Picker to mix and pick colors and get the respective codes in 6 systems (RGB, VB, HTM, CMY, CMYK and HSL) and a small Calculator with some useful features.

XY Scale is a program that can be used to calculate a new scale and a new size of any item by resizing the heigth and width. It can also be used to determine the amount of ingredients needed for a larger or smaller receipe. Shoppers can use XY Scale to determine discounts on items to calculate the best price to pay . Items can be stored in the database for retrieval of those which are used more frequently. You can also rescale items within the database. The use of XY Scale program is really left to your imagination. Pixel Scale is a very simple screen ruler.

It is calibrated in screen pixels, the major scale divisions being at either 40 or 100 pixels.

Pixel Scale can also be set so that the major scale divisions are at one centimeter or one inch intervals.

XPert Scale lets you quickly scale QuarkXPress documents, items, groups, and contents similar to the way drawing programs scale objects. Now Supports QuarkXPress 6s multiple undo/redo.

You can scale items visually or numerically (by entering percent values or dimensions). With both its precision and interactive scaling methods, XPert Scale can simplify headline creation, logo development, copy fitting, picture and caption adjustments, and many other common tasks.

The XPert Scale Tool added to the QuarkXPress Tool palette lets you drag to resize items and groups visually.

Scale Selection is a PhotoFlash AppleScript from Sal Soghoian that will scale the selection and its contents by the percentage you indicate.

Scale N Mail is a simple application that makes scaling images easy. It can also email scaled images using Apple Mail or Microsoft Entourage. Scale N Mail is freeware.

This is helpful if you want to use the scaled image in any application that accepts image drops (other email programs, image editors, web page creation software, word processing documents, etc.)

· You scale an image by resizing the Scale N Mail window.
· Image proportions are preserved.
· Once you have scaled the image to the desired size you have the following options:
· 1 mail the scaled image. - select the email application by clicking the appropriate radio button at the top , right of the window (Mail or Entourage) - click the "Create email message" button on the toolbar
· 2 Save the scaled image. Drag the scaled image from the Scale N Mail window to your desktop or a finder folder or click the "Save scaled photo" button on the toolbar.
· 3 Drag and drop the scaled image to another application.

Drag-N-Scale is a simple application that makes scaling images easy. It can also email scaled images with the click of a button.

Using Drag-N-Scale:
To open an image in Drag-N-Scale, drop the image on Drag-N-Scales icon, use the "+" button on the drawer, or drag an image file onto the drawers list area.
To open a folder of images drop the folder containing the image files on the Drag-N-Scale icon or, if Drag-N-Scale is open, click the camera icon to select a folder of images.

Once an image is displayed in the image area you can scale the image by resizing the window. To resize the window drag the grow widget at the bottom, right corner of the window.

When you have scaled the image to the desired size you have the following options:

1. Email the scaled image.
- click the "Email photo(s)" button on the toolbar
2. Save the scaled image.
Drag the scaled image from the Drag-N-Scale window to your desktop or a finder folder or click the hard drive icon and select "Save copy of scaled photo as...". If more than one image is listed in the drawer you can save all of the listed images at the currently scaled size by choosing "Save scaled copies of all photos..." from the menu that appears when you click on the hard drive icon.
3. Drag and drop the scaled image to another application.
This is helpful if you want to use the scaled image in any application that accepts image drops (other email programs, image editors, web page creation software, word processing documents, etc.)

ScaleFinder Mac OS tool designed for musicans. Scale Finder allows you to find the scale your playing on, or the chord your playing,from nothing but a bunch of notes.

I built Scale Finder for whenever i write a song or chord by ear. Its hard for friends to find the key completly by ear, and chances are, im actually playing a well known scale or chord (No matter how wierd you think it is!!).

You just tell this simple program the notes your playing on, and it will search through every key/chord in every key and shoots output in half a second, a task that could take hours.

If you collect model cars, this is for you. It is is a program that lets you keep track of your scale (die-cast) cars. You can input extensive information about them, and you can view all of them in a list. Additionally you can enter extra details and add a note for each car.
