The Mnenhy extension ehances Thunderbirds news reading capabilities The primary goal of the Mnenhy project is to enhance SeaMonkey/Mozilla MailNews, since therere still plenty of comfort functions missing if compared to Netscape 4.x and other mail and news clients.
By now, it also provides useful features for Mozilla Thunderbird and even Mozilla Firefox!
Main features:
- Custom Headers and X-Faces

Mnenhy allows to alter the set of header lines shown of an e-mail or usenet posting and their respective method of display. Yeah, that makes the references clickable again! :-)
- Folder Storage

Mnenhy provides a mechanism to store the thread pane column layout and preferences dependent upon the currently selected folder. For example, you can hide the junk state in the newsgroup de.test, but show it in your Inbox or activate HTML for RSS feeds only.
- Text Codecs

Mnenhy adds two new context menu items for encoding/decoding text to the mail editor, the mail display, the browser, the source view and Chatzilla. Available codecs are currently ROT-13, Base64, UUEncode/UUDecode, encodeURI/decodeURI and similar, Unicode/number representation, Kenny-Speak, 1337-Speak, Morse, Reverse, toUpperCase, toLowerCase and the evaluation of selections.
- MailNews Sidebar

Mnenhy brings back the sidebar to MailNews! Of course, the panel preferences are independent from those of the browser sidebar.
- Chrome Manager (Tools -> Chrome Manager)

Mnenhy allows to manipulate the location and the activation and jar state of registered chrome packages: packages can be moved between profile and application directory, packages can be temporarily disabled or removed completely, jar files can be extracted to local directories and used there. This makes it very easy to test new hacks and modifications or new addons that have no uninstaller.
This feature is nothing for the faint-hearted: you may destroy your Mozilla installation if you dont know what youre doing! Please do read the documentation!
- Registry Viewer (Tools -> Registry Viewer)

Mozilla and its derivates use a special database format inherited from older Netscape versions, e.g. for their version registry mozver.dat or the profile registry registry.dat. The Registry Viewer provides a nice, handy tree view of the contents of these files.

Junk Filter Statistics (Tools; Junk Filter Statistics)
Mnenhy can compute a Junk Filter Statistics based upon your training.dat. This may freeze Mozilla for some time, especially on slow machines, but you can alter the threshold of ignorable words in the Mnenhy preferences panel.
Unknown Junk State Icon
Mnenhy resurrects the unknown state icon for junk filtered mail.

Firefox and Seamonkey extension that allows you to view, via DOM inspector, JavaScript events as they occur Event Spy will let you watch JavaScript events as they occur
DOM Event Spy adds a context menu item to nodes in DOM Inspectors tree view that allows you to watch events that pass by the selected node. Note: You must have DOM Inspector installed to use Event Spy.

LAME gives you the best possible quality/compression, provides lots of function and works very fast. The original LAME mp3-encoder is aviable from the official homepage (www.mp3dev.org), but its only aviable as a console-application. Such console-applications are very flexible, but most users prefer to work with GUI (graphical user interface) applications.
LameXP is a GUI for the LAME mp3-encoder, that makes it much more comfortable to use LAME. Using LameXP is very easy, because the user-interface has been desingned as simple as possible and it uses the new WindowsXP* style.

Use the keyconfig extension to easily change the keyboard shortcuts in your Mozilla Firefox/SeaMonkey web browser or Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client
Shortcuts defined via a can be changed but only changing those which itself call a function (those with a command or oncommand attribute) has an effect (all others fulfill only cosmetic purposes it seems and are grayed out).
The configuration screen can be accessed via Tools->Keyconfig... or accel+shift+F12 on all supported windows. Currently there is only one list of modified keys per application, so changing a shortcut in one window will also affect keys in other windows if they use the same key name.
