A feature-rich General MIDI-compatible keyboard simulator. General MIDI Keyboard appliocation was designed to be is a feature-rich General MIDI-compatible keyboard simulator. It can be used as a stand-alone program to play music on attached MIDI devices, or, with appropriate MIDI drivers, it can be used to send MIDI messages to other applications, such as sequencers.

BankStep is a program emulation of hardware bank sequencers found in the big analog synthesizers, that produce control for the sound but not the sound itself. Instead of analog control voltages BankStep produces MIDI (and can make standard MIDI music files).
Otherwise, BankStep functionally emulates a big $50,000 bank of hardware sequencers and supporting modules just as it might sit on top of a big Moog analog synthesizer - or your soft synth, MIDI module or sound card.
The main module in BankStep is the Bank module, which is a 3 or 4 bank knob sequencer of any number of columns up to 48. The Bank module is a "smart" module, with the ability to set sequence start and end points, and to automatically switch direction when the end points are reversed.
There are no dangling patchchords in BankStep. Instead, module inputs (the red and blue buttons) connect to outputs by selecting them from a popup menu of all available outputs. When an input is connected to an output, the input button label indicates the connection.

MidiShare is a real-time musical MIDI operating system that provides high level services to the field of computer music MidiShare has been designed in 1989 in response to problems commonly met in the development of realtime music software. It provides high level services to developers and ensures platform independance.
Freely available on the Internet to developers since several years, the MidiShare development kit supports a great variety of programming languages: C, C++, Common Lisp, Pascal, Java...
Two additional libraries are also provided to facilitate the development of musical applications: a MIDI files management library and a Player library intended to develop multi-tracks MidiShare sequencers.
Put the mshare32.dll, midishare.ini and the desired drivers into the application folder which can be any MidiShare client application too.
The file mshare32.dll is the current MidiShare kernel library. For the drivers setup, see the drivers section.
If you want to share the DLLs and the .ini files between several client applications, you can also put them into the Windows folder.
Main features:
- High level musical events, fully structured and time stamped with a millisecond resolution. These events include both the MIDI and the MIDIFile typologies. In charge of the memory manager, they can be allocated at interrupt level.
- An efficient scheduler, in charge of delivering events at their falling dates to the communication manager. The scheduling algorithm ensures a very low and constant time overhead per event, even when the scheduler is heavily loaded.
- Inter-applications communication.
- A communication manager routes the events to the client applications, according to the connection set between them. This connection set can be dynamically configured by the users.
- Real-time tasks, to control the real-time behavior of an application. Function calls can be scheduled in the future and are automatically achieved by MidiShare at interrupt level.
- Real-time alarms. Incoming MidiShare events as well as global context changes (new clients starting a session, modifications of the connections between applications, etc.) can be processed in real-time by user defined alarms.

Breakage 13 is a product to raise the bar for live drum machine programming and performance. Where traditional step sequencers edit one note at time, Breakage adds neural network and pattern morphing functions to allow composition above the note level.

Fade song volume in or out. MIDIFADE is a simple command line tool designed to fade song volume in or out.
Main features:
- reads a binary midi file (version 0, 1)
- writes a binary midi file
- fadein: increases volume in given time to a given level
- fadeout: decreases volume in given time to a given level
- velocity changes by percent of original velocity
- shows length of song (time and midi units)
- shows length of tracks (separated parts where notes are playing)
All good midi files should have a fantastic intro and a good ending. One effect that is often used by musicians is fading. It produces a soft start and end of a song. Only few sequencers support fade in/out of songs. My keyboard sequencer has ability to manually play more louder but automatic fading is not available. This encouraged me to write a utility that fades a midisong
at given time and velocity parameters. It is a new challenge for me to handle midi tempo commands even when it changes anytime in any track.
