The free ServersCheck MIB Browser enables you to query any SNMP enabled device, using SNMPv1, SNMPv2 or SNMPv3 protocol. As a JAVA based application it can run on any system having the Java Run Time installed. It can perform GET, GETNEXT, WALK and SET SNMP commands.
The ServersCheck MIB Browser directly communicates with the ServersCheck Monitoring Software. This enables you to browse a MIB from your hardware vendor, test the result returned and if deemed interesting to be monitored then have it added to the Monitoring Softare with a simple click.
As a result any numeric OID can be monitored, reported and alerted on (for example when the returned value exceeds a defined alarm level).
This application ships with the standard IANA mibs, the RFC mibs and the mibs from the hardware/server manufacturer MAXDATA. Additional mibs can be found on various online resources. Click here for a list of resources.

System Administrators have often experienced situations where applications were no longer responding resulting in the need of a reboot of the system. The ServersCheck Remote Booting software is a tool running on a Windows based system which performs, once authenticated, a service stop/restart or reboot of the computer it is installed on.
This is even a bigger issue when remote access tools such as RDP or VNC are no longer responding. Going to the computer room and using the keyboard and mouse or performing a reboot is the only solution.
Solutions like ServersChecks ePowerSwitch hardware enable to perform a cold reboot by remotely cutting power off to the device and then bringing it back on.
These devices are used when the system enters in a complete freeze causing it not to respond to anything. However more frequently, the Operating System is still capable of performing a soft forced reboot by killing all running processes and then restarting itself. Typical for remote access tools is that a simple restart of the service is sufficient to regain access to the system using these tools.
To answer that need, ServersCheck has created the Remote Booting Software.
Users can connect to the Remote Booting software using a web browser or a mobile device supporting the HTTP protocol. Once connected a user can either perform:
- a forced reboot
- a service start/stop/restart
The ServersCheck Remote Booting software is not only username/password protected using Basic Authentication but you can also define authorized IPs so that only the authorized users may access the system.
