Shut X Down 1.1 brings you a convenient automation tool which can be used to shut down, log off, or restart your computer after a set amount of time or at a given date and time.

This is particularly useful when you're using a notebook and need to leave but want some operation to complete. It also includes a stopwatch to time whatever you want. It's very efficient and reliable and it won't waste your system resources or give pointless add-ons.

This client/server application automates the shutting down of computers on a network. By installing the client application on all workstations, the Shutdown Manager program (Windows Interface) allows u to broadcast Shutdown requests. There is also full control to the Shutdown Manager via command line arguemts (allowing you to setup schedules). Unix Shutdown manager also included (soruce code).

Easily shutdown, restart, logoff and more quickly and easily with Quick Shut Down Quick Shut Down is a fast and easy to use shutdown utility that enables you to shutdown, restart, logoff, standby, hibernate or lock your computer with just one mouse click.
When QSD is running, an accurate miniature icon appears on the taskbar on the end opposite the "Start" button. You can choose to click or double click it with the left mouse button, and it shutdowns or reboots your computer.
You can set a keyboard shortcut for any action - shutdown, reboot, hibernate, standby, lock, logoff and media eject. Quick ShutDown allows you to set your own tray icon to be displayed. Click it with the right mouse button to view the context menu.
Also, QSD can automatically terminate applications if they are not responding making shutdowns both quicker and safer. In addition, Quick ShutDown can eject removable media drives at shutdown preventing you from losing your disks and CDs by leaving them in the drive when you leave.

The idea I had when I created it was that you could set the computer running clean up tools while you went out, with the knowledge that when you returned the computer will have turn its self off. This program requires that the computer has an ATX motherboard and power supply for the shut down feature.
