When you localize your applications and make them available in new languages, you open new markets and new revenue streams.

Sisulizer is an application that helps you to offer your software in multiple languages.

Dont give translators access to your source code. With Sisulizer, you can provide your translation team with the information they need, without making them wade through complicated programming code, and without giving up control of your source code.

Localize your software with Sisulizer, in three simple steps:

First, scan the application and locate all of the text.
Sisulizer can work directly with your C++ Builder, Delphi, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Java, or Windows binary file, or with XLIFF, or with your .NET assembly.
Sisulizer works visually with HTML and XML. Sisulizer can also grab the text from text files, and databases.

Sisulizer can also support mobile applications. Sisulizer supports .NET for Smart Devices, Pocket PC, Windows mobile, Symbian, and J2ME.

Second, translate the text with Sisulizers visual editor.
You have complete control over every word to be translated. You can begin the translation work yourself and mark each phrase as having been translated properly, auto-translated, translated by best guess, out for review, or complete.

Use Sisulizers Exchange Wizard to create and send your translator a single file that contains a self-installing Sisulizer Translation Edition, along with your project file.

When your translator has completed the translation, they run Exchange Wizard to create a single file that they send back to you.

Third, build the localized version.
Now that your translator has finished translating all of your strings, and youve received your updated file, simply run Sisulizer to build the new version of your program, in the new language.

Sisulizer opens the door to increased sales and profits by making it easy to translate your software into many languages.

With Sisulizer, you and your translator work with a powerful, easy-to-use visual "what you see is what you get" editor.

And, Sisulizer gives you complete control over the process

Major Features:

  1. Scan Features:
    • Binary localization
      • If you are new to software localization, you will often read about binary localization. But what does binary mean in this context?
      • Binary localization reads all strings that should be localized from the compiled application. This is possible because modern Windows programming systems store dialog boxes, menus, shortcuts, and strings in what is called "resources". Resources are special sections in the compiled program that systems can read without de-compiling the binary file. Sisulizer can perfectly read and write these sections without touching the program code.
      • You determine which Windows resources you want to localize, including icons, menus, dialog boxes, strings, accelerators, versions, and manifest resources.
      • The software works visually with HTML, HTML Help (.chm) and XML. Sisulizer can also grab text from text files and databases.
      • XML tags can be selected as localizable. Each XML tag can be segmented deeper. Also nice is that HTML tags are marked, but not visible as pure html. Here you see bold tags in the English original, and the Russian translation.
      • Content of XML tags can be localized in any language
      • Sisulizer also operates in the mobile world. It supports .NET Compact Framework, Pocket PC, Symbian, and J2ME.
    • Sisulizer is a format genius
      • Just see for yourself. The tables below give you an overview of the supported formats. For all visual formats, you can find a built-in visual editor in Sisulizer. You do not need third-party tools.
      • Even the XML format is scanned by a parser to avoid importing problems into Sisulizer. All official XML encodings are supported.
      • Databases are supported with native drivers for the best possible performance. No ODBC or third-party client software is needed.
      • If you use your own visual components, you can customize Sisulizer to display and handle them.
        • Sisulizer supports all Delphi and C++ Builder applications. It scans all properties and visually shows all components. Sisulizer even supports UNICODE components.
        • Sisulizer supports all .NET platforms: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, and higher as well as WPF and the Compact Framework.
        • Sisulizer supports all Symbian platforms.
        • Sisulizer has built-in support for all official UNICODE encodings.
      • Sisulizer has safe source code localization. This means that Sisulizer automatically creates localized source code files when you change your original source code. This is also true for XML localization.
    • Scan your own text format
      • Do you have a text format not covered by our list? This is not a problem because you can just create new format rules in Sisulizer. Combine these rules with your file extension and use it with Sisulizer
      • You define which sections of your Ini files are localizable. Only the selected ones a translator can enter a translation. This ensures that your budget does not run out. By using Sisulizer you are sure that no keys or sections disappear or duplicate during translation process.
Besides classical Windows .ini files Sisulizer also supports localization of ini-like files. For easier configuration you can save your set of definitions for later re-use e.g. in other Sisulizer projects by exporting them
    • Upgrade: Translate only what has changed
      • Sooner or later, your software projects will need some polishing. An upgrade or update must be released. With Sisulizer localizing, upgrades are a snap. Sisulizer scans your whole project, including all applications, databases, XML/HTML files, and so on, for changed and new items. Sisulizer remembers all of your existing translations, making updating and upgrading fast and convenient.
    • Supported Formats in Detail
      • File formats
        Database formats
Sisulizer works with all Delphi versions and is successfully tested with these new CodeGear (former Borland) Turbo products
        • Turbo Delphi for WIN32
        • Turbo Delphi for .NET
        • Turbo C#
        • Turbo C++
  2. Translate Feature:
    • Visual editors
      • The Sisulizer visual editor requires no run-time engines such as .NET run-time or mobile emulators. The translator can see everything visually even if he or she does not have the runtime platform.
      • He or she can even choose between classic or Windows XP themes in the visual form editor without changing any Windows settings.
      • If you can use a word processor, you will be familiar with Sisulizer's editor features. There are no limits in the number of undo and redo operations. You can undo as far back as you like. After that, you can redo back to the last state. Everything can be configured, and if you like, you can use time-saving keyboard shortcuts
      • This is a Japanese translation of a dialog. The translator can type in the sheet, or the editor. The preview shows how the Japanese dialog will look like. The untranslated strings are displayed in red - Sisulizer supports all languages
    • Free Edition
      • With Sisulizer, you have two choices for how to translate. You can either use Sisulizer's visual editor yourself or send it to your translators for free. A wizard leads you through all required steps. You get a single file that includes everything your translator needs. Your translator can start right after receiving the package. There are no extra costs or installation hassle. Sisulizer is a single EXE using no DLLs, OCXs, runtimes, or complex registration settings.
      • With Sisulizer's Free Edition, multiple translators can work on the same project at the same time. The Free Edition is available with Sisulizer's Standard, Professional, and Enterprise editions.
    • Translation Memory: Add extra brainpower to your team
      • Sisulizer comes with a powerful built-in translation memory engine. It stores all of the translations you have done in a database. Later, you can use these translations again. You will see that translation memory becomes an important part of the process because it can be used by multiple users at the same time.
      • Of course, segmentation that breaks paragraphs into sentences for smarter reuse of translations is also fully supported. Sisulizer supports SRX segmentation rules.
      • Sisulizer supports the industry standards TMX and XLIFF. These formats make it easy to exchange translations and translation memories with other industry-standard, compatible tools. As a result, a switch from other tools to Sisulizer is easier and cheaper than you might think. Contact sales (at) sisulizer.com for a quote.
      • You can select the built-in database, external databases, like SQL Server or MySQL.
    • Background Info
      • New Microsoft glossary file available Sometimes, but only occasionally, the best things in life are free as with the new Microsoft® glossary. This .csv file comes with 9000 computer terms with translations for up to 45 languages! This file is replacing the old Microsoft glossaries. Sisulizer can already import the new Microsoft glossary format. Of course, the old format is also supported, in case you are still using it. Here is how to use it with Sisulizer:
        • Download the glossary and unzip it
        • Open Sisulizer
        • Select Tools | Translation Engines from the menu
        • Select Documents
        • Press the right plus button and follow the wizard
        • You can now use the glossary like any regular translation memory in Sisulizer.
      • Keep an eye on the details: Validation. Little details can lead to big problems in your localized software. Sisulizer checks your translations for problems you might not see before running your application. Validations include hot key checking, message format checking, spell checking, and much, much more.
      • Statistics. With Sisulizer's statistics, you can always see the status of your project. The statistics allow you to see the progress of your translators.
      • Complete support for code pages. Sisulizer supports all major code pages. Why is this feature still important when there is something like UNICODE? The answer is simple: most of today's development systems use code pages for graphical interfaces, including the latest editions of Delphi and C++ Builder. Windows decides when a program starts which LCID (contains the code page and more) an application should use. Please read our article about code pages. Sisulizer even supports languages without their official own code page, like Hindi. Sisulizer also supports double-byte encoding and right-to-left writing
      • Sisulizer 2008 comes with support for three different spell and grammar checking engines.
        • Polar spell-checker
Dictionaries for 14 languages (English (US), English (UK) Czech, Danish, German, Spanish, French, Croatian, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Slovenian, Swedish) are included in the Sisulizer distribution.
        • Hunspell spell-checker
Dictionaries are the same used by OpenOffice, Mozilla FireFox and others. Dictionaries for approximately 100 languages are available for free from here.
        • Lingsoft proofing tools for Sisulizer localization software
Spell-checker and grammar checker available in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian (Bokmål), and Swedish. Also available is a spell-checker for Norwegian (Nynorsk). These dictionaries must be purchased separately from Lingsoft.
      • Complete support for Asian languages
        • Complete support for Asian languages is becoming more and more important. Sisulizer goes the extra mile needed for localization of Asian languages like Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. Part of the development of Sisulizer is done in Japan under the consultation of native speakers. Sisulizer comes with an excellent support of language input method editors (IME) needed by Asian-speaking translators.
        • Sisulizer's complete language support for Asian languages opens up these future markets for you.
      • Complete UNICODE support
        • Sisulizer itself is 100% UNICODE enabled. All data inside is handled in UNICODE, meaning you can safely edit Japanese text and process Japanese file names on a non-Japanese operating system. You can also run applications in Japanese on a non-Japanese operating system. You will not encounter any nasty code page problems in Sisulizer developers and translator editions.
  3. Build Feature:
    • Sisulizer easily handles all languages, including right-to-left and double-byte languages. And the program keeps track of what has already been translated, making the process fast and inexpensive for you to translate later versions of your application.
    • Localization in the 21st century is binary localization
      • The state-of-the-art localization method for Windows applications in the 21st century is binary localization. You do not have to recompile your application to get the localized version. Just build the new EXE, DLL, OCX and so on with Sisulizer. That's it!
      • All you need is an application using standard Windows resources. All major development systems do this operation right away or at least support it actively. Your original code or binary is never changed. Sisulizer always works with copies of your work. Whenever a platform, such as Windows, supports multiple languages in one EXE or DLL, Sisulizer supports it as well.
      • Of course, Sisulizer also supports resource source code localization. But once you see the advantages of binary localization, resource source code localization becomes less important.
    • Translation reuse - Never translate something twice
      • Every developer knows: A software is never perfect. There is always something to do better and there are always features to add. And everytime a new feature is added there will be new dialogs and strings to be translated. Forget about tracking yourself what is new and what is changed. Let Sisulizer project management handle this time consuming task. Sisulizer finds all changes to the project. It is as easy as pressing F5 to rescan your application for changes and reuse existing translations to the new version of your software. For more information please watch our Scan for Changes movie.
    • Free Magazine: The Localization Tool
      • You need more information about software localization in general? We have the right source of information for you. Download The Localization Tool magazin as PDF (zipped) for free and learn more about the backgrounds.
    • Make Sisulizer part of your build process
      • If you work with a huge software project, you will be happy to hear that you can use Sisulizer as a command line tool (Enterprise Edition). You can easily include it in your build process and incorporate it into your makefile or use some fine build tool like FinalBuilder, or Visual Build Pro.
      • Sisulizer s project file is not in a proprietary binary format like in other tools; it uses UTF-8 encoded XML. This format makes it possible to view and edit the file with any text editor. You can also store the file in version control software.
      • With these features, Sisulizer localization becomes an easy-to-maintain part of your software development process.
      • And, if you have ever lost work because of a proprietary format, you will understand how important it is to store data in the open XML format.
    • Status for every item
      • In Sisulizer, every item has its own status throughout the whole localization process. This status gives you an overview about the process: items to be translated, already translated, checked, and so on. You have complete information about the quality of your localized build.
    • Reports
      • With Sisulizer's reports, you can print out all translations on a piece of paper. This feature is very handy for proofreaders who prefer to correct errors on paper rather than on the screen. Sisulizer even has a print preview for reports.
