Sounds was designed to be easy and a fun way to spend time on a PC without a sound card or speakers. Most PCs have a speaker built in. You can use this program to control that speaker and make cool sounds.

You can control the program by pressing the F1 to F10 keys or Numpad 0-9. By holding SHIFT you make any tone you press a lot higher. By holding CTRL you make any tone a little (half a note) higher.

By pressing File | Hide Interface, you can make the program disappear to the task bar. While the interface is hidden, you can still use the keyboard to control the program. You can restore the program by clicking "Sounds 4" in the bottom of your screen.

Kreativ Sounds is a handy widget that displays useful information about sound products.

Classic Sounds is a nice plugin that will bring back the classic alert sound panel of Mac OS 9 to your new MacOS X!

Site Sounds Website Visitor Notification is a fun and useful program used to audibly and visually monitor the traffic on your website.

Site Sounds consists of a small program that sits in your system tray, listening for incoming connections on the port your specify.

You place one line of HTML code in the offsite pages you want to be monitored. When a visitor views those pages, the program plays a sound of your choosing to alert you.

A small, pop-up window can also be made to appear at the bottom of your screen as a visual form of notification.

The date, IP of the visitor and the URL of the page visited are logged into a list box on the program screen in real time.

Further, an option of the program allows the user to assign a unique sound (.wav) to any web page. This gives the user the ability to audibly, and in real time, track the visitor as he moves through his website by the sounds that are played.

The user could even record his own voice to identify certain pages, and the program will play back the unique voice recordings each time a visitor enters those pages.

A webmaster may use Site Sounds simply to get an idea how his website is performing on a certain day without having to open server logs or go to his web statistics service.

He might also use Site Sounds to give real time aural or visual indication of the time and frequency visitors go to a few key pages, such as a signup page, payment page, or confirmation page for a product he sells.

Webmasters with more than one website can assign these sounds or visual cues to indicate the traffic on each site independently.

Random Event Sounds XP description
Select and randomize system sounds, screensavers, and wallpapers. Random Event Sounds resides in the sys tray and will randomize the sounds associated with common system events like close program, minimize, maximize, start windows, etc. as well as other programs like AOL, Quicken, Windows Explorer, Windows Messenger, etc.

It will also randomize Windows Screensaver and Desktop Wallpaper files. You can make a list of your favorite sounds for each event, and at given intervals the program will pick a new sound out of the list for each event.

You can also cause the program to pick new sounds at any given time by right-clicking on the sys tray icon. Each event can individually be excluded from being randomized even if a list is provided.

You can also decide for each event if you want Random Event Sounds to randomly select a file, or cycle through the list you have provided.
Even if you do not want Random Event Sounds to pick files for you, you can disable the Auto-Randomize and manually tell it to randomize whenever you tell it to.

Random Event Sounds was made to create an easy and efficient way of organizing and selecting system sounds, wallpaper, and screensaver.

Not only does Random Event Sounds automatically select new sounds, wallpaper, or screensaver at given intervals; it provides an easy way to simply make new selections without the hassle of going into the control panel. Random Event Sounds resides in the system tray to provide quick access.

New files can be added to the lists by browsing for them in the right panel on the main window.

Random Event Sounds does not copy the files, but simply remembers the filename and where it is currently located. The file must be already stored to the hard drive.

Random Event Sounds will manage sounds for all third party applications as well as system sounds.

Random Event Sounds comes with 24 sample wav files.

Random Event Sounds was created to make an easy, user friendly, and convinient way to randomize event sounds. A list of favorite wav files can be created by the user for each event. At given intervals Random Event Sounds will automatically select a new wav from each list for each event. A list can also be provided for the Windows wallpaper and screensaver. Each list can be individually disabled. For quick access, Random Event Sounds is loaded into the Windows sys tray. Options can be quickly managed and changed from the sys tray icon.
