This service pack applies to any level of Office XP. It contains all updates included in Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), and updates released after SP2.

Microsoft recommends that you use the Office Update site to determine if your computer requires this update before installing it.

Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 2 (SP2) provides the latest updates and security fixes to Internet Explorer technology. Internet Explorer 5.01 sp2 can be installed as an upgrade to existing versions of Internet Explorer, or on computers with no previous Internet Explorer installation. Total download size for a typical installation is approximately 17 megabytes (MB). However, because setup downloads only those files that are necessary for your computer, this size may vary between 6 and 17 MB.

If you are running Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT� 4.0, installing Internet Explorer 5.01 sp2 upgrades your computer to 128-bit encryption. If you are running Windows 2000, installing Internet Explorer 5.01 sp2 will not change the current level of encryption on your computer.

This update resolves the "Windows 2000 sp2 Causes SCSI Bus Resets During Startup" issue on computers running Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), and is discussed in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q297961. Download now to prevent a delay in restarting computers that have an NCR Storage Cabinet (NSC) array attached.

This issue exists because the disk.sys file does not communicate properly with certain SCSI devices. For more information about this issue, read Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) Article Q297961.

This is the second Service Pack for Commerce Server 2000. It is an update for the production version of Commerce Server. sp2 does contains all the code from SP1. sp2 will not work on the Evaluation Edition of Commerce Server. To update, you must first upgrade your Commerce Server installation to the production version.
