PuTTY Terminal Deployer allows dynamic PuTTY secure shell (SSH) logins to multiple Linux servers.
IP addresses, Hosts and AES encrypted/Base64 encoded passwords are read from a configuration file. All GUI labels are created dynamically from this info.
This C++ tool uses the wxWidgets cross-platform widget set, and allows dynamic PuTTY secure shell (SSH) logins to multiple Linux servers.
All host and IP addresses are read from a configuration file, including user names and AES encrypted/Base64 encoded passwords. All GUI labels are created dynamically from this information.
The application decrypts the passwords, dynamically builds the PuTTY commands, then launches the PuTTY terminals that were selected by the user and automatically logs the user in to each.
It can also launch a PuTTYCS terminal, in which commands that are issued, are replicated and sent to each open PuTTY window. This allows the user to control mutiple Linux terminals from a single terminal.
The user also can select the Sudo as root option, which will cause the PuTTY Terminal Deployer to log the user in as root for each terminal.

Advanced functions can work with search results, powered by Windows Vistas integrated desktop search engine. For example, typing "play radiohead" will find all music that matches the query "radiohead", compile the results into a .M3U file, and launch it in your favorite media player (actually, it only uses Windows Media Player for the moment, but that will change soon).

Enhancements:
- The typing delay added in 0.8 will now only affect Start Gadgets, and only once they are already showing. This was added to prevent unnecessary queries to the web server while you are still typing. This fix, combined with prevous ones, should give a much better response to your typing than in the past for all situations.
- Any systems which use comma-delimited decimal formats should no longer save out incorrect data for the ZoomFactor parameter in the XML. This should prevent the crashes many users of non-English systems have been seeing.

The newly created non-root user will belong to the default ?users? group and will be automatically granted remote SSH access. Su or sudo commands can then be used to elevate to the root account for privileged operations.
Note: To follow security best practices it is recommended to use a regular local account for remote SSH connections as it leaves an audit trail to help you track user activity.
How it works
To enable or disable remote ssh access RootAccess Wizard modifies sshconfiguration file: PermitRootLogin yes ? to enable remote access and PermitRootLogin no ? to disable it.

It is open source, supports unlimited accounts, Gmail for your domain, and has many customizable options. It runs under Windows (and hopefully Linux and Mac OS, although these two have not been tested yet). The link above points to the Windows installer, for which you dont need anything else.
The sources are here, to use them you need at least Python 2.4, wxPython 2.8 and feedparser. All of these can be apt-gotten under ubuntu, and Gmail Checker runs without any other change. Sadly, the dialogs look a bit funky if you use the default font, I might look into correcting this if anyone actually uses GC under linux (or just do sudo aptitude install msttcorefonts and replace those antialiased fonts to get more screen space).<<less
