Download Paessler SNMP Tester and run the snmptest.exe file:
- Enter the IP address of your device and select the SNMP port and the SNMP community string.
- Select a request type:
- MIB2 Interface: Reads the traffic counter of a port according to the MIB2 OID
- Custom OID: Enter a custom OID value to access any OID value on the device (
- Device Uptime: Reads the standard system uptime value from the device It may be necessary to select a specific local IP for the SNMP request (usually only necessary for multi homed systems)
- Click on "Run Test" to start the testing process.
- During the test you will find detailed information in the logfile window.

A suite of applications used to implement SNMP v1, SNMP v2c and SNMP v3 using both IPv4 and IPv6. more>> A suite of applications used to implement SNMP v1, SNMP v2c and SNMP v3 using both IPv4 and IPv6.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a widely used protocol for monitoring the health and welfare of network equipment (eg. routers), computer equipment and even devices like UPSs.
The Net-SNMP was designed to be a suite of applications used to implement SNMP v1, SNMP v2c and SNMP v3 using both IPv4 and IPv6.
The suite includes:
# Command-line applications to:
- retrieve information from an SNMP-capable device, either using single requests (snmpget, snmpgetnext), or multiple requests (snmpwalk, snmptable, snmpdelta).
- manipulate configuration information on an SNMP-capable device (snmpset).
- retrieve a fixed collection of information from an SNMP-capable device (snmpdf, snmpnetstat, snmpstatus).
- convert between numerical and textual forms of MIB OIDs, and display MIB content and structure (snmptranslate).
# A graphical MIB browser (tkmib), using Tk/perl.
# A daemon application for receiving SNMP notifications (snmptrapd). Selected notifications can be logged (to syslog, the NT Event Log, or a plain text file), forwarded to another SNMP management system, or passed to an external application.
# An extensible agent for responding to SNMP queries for management information (snmpd). This includes built-in support for a wide range of MIB information modules, and can be extended using dynamically loaded modules, external scripts and commands, and both the SNMP multiplexing (SMUX) and Agent Extensibility (AgentX) protocols.
# A library for developing new SNMP applications, with both C and perl APIs.

WebNMS SNMP API .NET Edition is a comprehensive development toolkit for SNMP-based network management applications. WebNMSs SNMP stack comprises a set of powerful .NET SNMP library to build real-time applications for monitoring and tracking network elements that are reliable and scalable.
The .NET SNMP library provides off-the-rack components for trap and table handling and the basic SNMP operations: SNMP GET, SNMP GETNEXT, SNMP GETBULK, and SNMP SET. These components enable simpler and faster development and deployment of SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c management applications that can be integrated into any network management solution.
WebNMS SNMP Utilities provides off-the-shelf components for trap and table handling along with basic SNMP operations, such as SNMP GET, SNMP GETNEXT, SNMP GETBULK, and SNMP SET.
WebNMS SNMP API can be used to build either a two-tier or a three-tier management application. In the two-tier architecture, the management application directly communicates with the agents. In the three-tier architecture, the management application communicates with the agents through a manager-server. For building highly scalable management applications, three-tier architecture is the best option
WebNMS SNMP API consists of a hierarchy of .NET packages that enables rapid development of element and network management applications for a wide variety of domains. It is built upon a layered architecture, which contains the SNMP Package and the Transport Provider Framework, and the MIBs API.
ZOHO Corp. provides affordable software for management and provisioning of complex networks, systems, and IT applications and for database migration. With a broad product portfolio and an active customer base ranging from enterprises, equipment vendors, and service providers, ZOHO Corp. has emerged as a very affordable and high-quality alternative to expensive software that is common in this industry.
