AppMind is a complete solution for local and remote application management, offering a tool that enhance the quality and increase the availability of applications developed in C/C++. An In-house developed application, monitored by AppMind becomes manageable through HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, BMC Patrol or locally from the bundled Developer Console. AppMind is also effectively used as a development tool for testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
By calling the small AppMind API from your source, you can add log messages which can be dynamically controlled at runtime. The log file makes it easy to track program flow, and high-priority messages are forwarded to the Developer Console or a management system. Log file handling, sizes, timestamps, etc. are highly configurable. It is also possible to control your application from a console using custom callbacks. A key/value configuration framework possible to use in your application is also included.

AutoInsult is a fun little application that will generate insults for you in a variety of styles. It then copies them into the clipboard (as text) so that you can paste them into emails, documents, or wherever else a good insult might be needed. You can also get it to pop-up an insult at regular intervals.
All the word resources are stored in an external file, which allows new dictionaries to be "plugged in". Currently dictionaries in both English and American English are supplied, containing 4 styles (Arabian, Shakespearean, Modern and Mediterranean).
AutoInsult will amuse most people, but may offend others. It is not, however, obscene or vulgar. For the more faint-hearted the program starts out in a "toned-down" mode, and the more "liberated" features can be turned on or off via the options menu.

To create dynamic pages, all you need to know is HTML and Python. You have the choice between different ways of mixing them.

- Karrigell services are Python scripts where each function matches a different URL : foo.ks/bar matches the function bar() in the script foo.ks (if no function is specified, the function index() is used)
- HTML inside Python is another form of Python script, where lines beginning by a string are sent to the browser as if there were a print statement
- Python Inside HTML is very much like PHP or JSP, HTML pages with Python code inserted between the tags
- You can use plain CGI scripts : see the documentation for the cgi module in the standard documentation
- Python code is executed in a "clean" namespace including HTTP environment, form fields and custom exceptions. When a form includes the field , the value is available in the script under the name _myfield
For authentication and session, two functions (unsurprisingly named Authentication and Session) can be used in scripts. Authentication takes an authentication test function as first argument, which checks if the AUTH_USER and AUTH_PASSWORD are accepted. Session() is used to initialize or retrieve a session object to which attributes can be set or read
The Include(file_or_script) function inserts the output of the script or file inside the output of current script ; this is useful for headers or footers for instance. If its a script it is executed in the current namespace.
