- NO Colon: Passwords should NOT contain colons.
- NO Real Words: Passwords should NOT be real words spelled either forwards or backwards especially words found in dictionaries such as English, medical, etc.
- NO Personal Links: Passwords should NOT contain any personal information like license plate, age, birthday, pet's name, etc spelled forwards your backwards.
- NO Names: Passwords should NOT contain any part of your username spelled forwards or backwards.
- NO Saving: Using "Save Password" features can be risky. Type your password in manually each time.

Oftmals werden deshalb die Möglichkeiten moderner Drucker, die mehrere Schächte bereitstellen nicht genutzt. Der Benutzer verwendet immer den selben Schacht und legt jeweils das benötigte Papier ein. Das an dieser Stelle unnötige Kosten durch Konzeptausdrucke auf teurem Spezialpapier entstehen ist fast noch das kleinere Übel.
