Taskbar is a small taskbar utility for X11 with advanced features.

It supports a program launcher menu, task list, and tray notification area. It will work with any EWMH window manager (Sawfish, Metacity, KWM, etc.).

It is designed to be lightweight yet fully functional.

Here are some key features of "Taskbar":

· Docking taskbar aligned to bottom or top of screen
· Customizable start menu (program launcher)
· Taskbar notification area with tooltip support (area is populated via plugins)
· Support for Xft anti-aliased fonts

TaskBar is a REALbasic plugin control to create XP like task bars which are sometimes known as "Explorer bars".

The Plugin uses native theme rendering on Windows XP and emulates XP theme rendering on older Windows and Linux systems.

Though TaskBar is mainly for Windows compiling then we also support in on MacOS for cross platform purposes.

Multi-Monitor support for windows is way cool!Really - if you never tried it and you have resources for second monitor and doual monitor video card do it!

Here are some key features of "MultiMon Taskbar":

· It adds second taskbar to the extended desktop on Monitor 2 (either right or left)
· It can add third taskbar to the second Extended monitor if you have 3 monitors setup.
· It shows only applications from that Monitor
· It hides the applications on Monitor 2 from normal Windows Taskbar
· Adds a Move to Monitor button to all windows applications.
· Add Text Clipboard Extender (new 1.1.)
· Very carefully written, I dont want to crash my own desktop!

taskbar-compiz is a modified taskbar applet for kicker to make it work with compiz.

The work is inspired by kicker-compiz pager (http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=46021)

Please note: currently you cant change "Show windows from all desktops" settings while beryl is running, so uncheck it before or uncheck in manually in .kde/share/config/ktaskbarrc

Currently working:

- all standard taskbar features
- task button filtering by compiz viewport

Known buggy or can be improved:

- "Show windows from all desktop" options in taskbar settings are not shown when running under compiz
- task sorting by compiz viewport
- sometimes I cant minimize window by clicking on its button in taskbar

The code is based on the taskbar applet taken from kdebase-3.5.5.

To install the package, follow the generic instructions found in the INSTALL file. Generally, you will want to install it in your KDE directory, using:

./configure --prefix=kde-config --prefix
make
make install

You will likely have to use superuser rights to execute the last make install.

(Alternatively, you may choose to install in a different directory, using for example:

./configure --prefix=/opt/taskbar-compiz
make
make install

For this to work, you will need to tell KDE about the new prefix, by ensuring that KDEDIRS contains it, e.g. export KDEDIRS=/opt/taskbar-compiz:/usr and then restart KDE.)

Once it is installed, use the kicker dialog to add a new applet, and the taskbar will appear in the list (Right-click on kicker, then "add an applet to the panel" -> "Taskbar - Compiz").

With Titanium Taskbar you will be able to make Windows Taskbar modifications. Add a new look to your taskbar.

With Taskbar Hide you can fully control the taskbar.Hide applications window completely through a hotkey,also you can
minimize them to the system tray instead of an icon on your taskbar.Hide icons from the system tray.Reorder the windows on
taskbar based on your choice.Set application windows always on top.Hide any of following:taskbar,start button,task window,system tray, and time clock.

Taskbar Activate description
Taskbar Activate manages activation and deactivation of the Windows taskbar Dont let programs decide whether you can get access to the taskbar!
Dont let the taskbar hide your applications because you have gone close to the edge of the screen with your mouse!

Taskbar Activate will manage activation and deactivation of the Windows taskbar. It is specialy usefull for accessing the taskbar with special applications running (full screen windows, always on top windows, ...). It also prevents an inopportune taskbar window appearing over your application when the mouse goes close to the screen border.

Your screen is never enough large. So, youd like to use full screen applications to see something else than the title, menu, status bars.
But, if so, it is quite impossible to switch between applications because you have no access to the taskbar. The taskbar is completely hidden by your full screen application.

Sure, it is possible to use ALT+TAB or CTRL+ESC or even the Windows key of your new keyboard (is it here only for this bug?).

TaskBar Activate awakes your taskbar when it is hidden by a full screen window and it has not agree to do this itself when the mouse come.

Taskbar Control description

When the mouse is in the taskbar edge of the screen, it activate the taskbar if the taskbar doesnt activate itself (usually if you use full-screen windows and want to switch to another task). New : work with Windows 98 multi-monitor! New : statistics availble!

TaskBar Hider allows to hide and show the Windows TaskBar panel by pressing user-defined hot key.

Just run the program and press the Win+X key by default to hide/show the TaskBar.

To customize settings in Settings dialog click the mouse on system tray icon.

Taskbar Shuffle description

Once you download, install, and run Taskbar Shuffle, left-click and drag the programs/buttons on your Windows taskbar to rearrange them.
