StrokeIt is a nifty little program that lets you control programs by drawing symbols with your mouse.
StrokeIt can currently recognize more than 50 unique mouse gestures and can be easily trained to recognize many more. For each gesture recognized, StrokeIt can execute a user-defined set of commands within the active application.
StrokeIt commands are defined within plugin libraries that can be easily created by third parties to do virtually anything.
What is StrokeIt?
StrokeIt is an advanced mouse gesture recognition engine and command processor. What is a mouse gesture? Mouse gestures are simple symbols that you "draw" on your screen using your mouse. When you perform a mouse gesture that StrokeIt can recognize, it will perform the "action" associated with that gesture. In short, its a nifty little program that lets you easily control programs by drawing symbols with your mouse.
What can it do?
StrokeIt can currently recognize more than 80 unique mouse gestures and can be easily trained to recognize many more. For each gesture recognized, StrokeIt can execute a user-defined set of commands within the active application. StrokeIt commands are defined within plugin libraries that can be easily created by third parties to do nearly anything.
How do I perform a gesture?
Click and hold down the right mouse button and then draw the mouse gesture you want performed. You can temporarily disable StrokeIt by holding down the Control key, or right clicking on the StrokeIt icon in the system tray. If you want to cancel a mouse gesture while drawing it, simply left click.

Who created StrokeIt?
StrokeIt was written entirely by Jeff Doozan.
How big is it?
The installer is around 120k, with the recognition engine weighing in around 10k. Normal memory usage varies by system, but is generally is between 70k and 300k. StrokeIt does not require any additional files or libraries.
Is it really free?
Yes, StrokeIt is free for individual and not-for-profit charitable entity use (excluding governmental entities and educational institutions). For-profit business entities, governmental entities, or educational institutions, your license will be free for an introductory ten (10) day period but you must purchase a valid end-user license after that period in order to continue using StrokeIt. An end-user license is only $10, and site licenses can be purchased at discounted rates.
Can I use StrokeIt technology in my own program?
Yes, you can license a registered plugin, which will give your program detailed information about the mouse gesture performed. For most applications, a registered plugin should be sufficient, but if you need additional features, it is also possible to license the StrokeIt gesture recognition engine.
Can I bundle StrokeIt with my program
Yes, purchasing a Distribution License will entitle you to distribute StrokeIt with your programs.<<less
