Why Would you do this? If you find that a Reverse Dns look up does not get you the server name, then TelNet may just do it for you.
Some mail servers do NOT allow you to TelNet to their mail port. If so it may not work, but it is another tool that you can add to your armamentarium for figthing spam and tracking down spammers! Usage is simple. Just type the server Hosts Ip Address in the top box and press the "CONNECT" button.
TelNet IpName Tracker will contact the server and attempt to connect. If a connection can be established, it will issue the usual greeing and anticipate receiving the usual friendly response including the servers name.
