Positive SMS is a free downloadable desktop tool to be used by individuals and businesses that wish to send SMS from their desktop to mobile phones. Network coverage is subject to the list provided on the site and testing. Users are required to register for a username and password prior to use of the application. 10 Free test messages are allocated to each user that signs up.

Corporate users wishing to use this application for bulk communication could send 1 single text message to a list of people by creating a .txt file in notepad with the numbers. The numbers have to be comma seperated and in International format for example country code,area code, number:27 83 4425950

Users then log in with their username and password and upload the text file. The text message is typed (160 characters, unicode supported) and sent to the numbers on the list. Unicode is supported.

Throughput is 3 messages per second. Delivery reports and advanced features such as time stamps are not available in the beta version.
