TickStation Daily allows you to maintain a complete and accurate historical equity database for thousands of instruments You can either update your database on demand or download nightly at a specific time. Historical quotes are download them from the internet and stored in a user-configurable text format. Complete stock histories are updated from the internet at the rate of about 25 instruments per minute and daily incremental updates at the rate of about 1000 per minute.
Such a database is essential for the purpose of offline analysis with your favorite charting package or developing, backtesting, and implementing strategies for automated quantitative trading. Clicking on any symbol gives you an instant chart of the data or a tabular listing. Clicking on any folder gives a tabular listing of the daily close information.
