Work-Time tracking system N-Track software was designed to be a work-time tracking system.It came about by accident. I had been involved in the development of an ASP based work-time tracking system for my company. Later on I had planned on converting it to .NET. But sadly my company wanted a version that could run on a Linux box and thus the web application was recoded using PHP. Anyway I had planned on using a remoting server and I didnt want to drop the idea.
Thats when Chris Maunder started this VC++.NET competition and I thought what the heck, specially after James T Johnson also gave it the green signal. Its not much of an app really, but it demonstrates how you can write a Windows service using Managed C++ and how you can set it up as a remoting server. It also shows how you can mix managed code with your MFC applications that can then act as remoting clients.
The N-Track client is the program that you distribute to your employees. In the demo project that comes with the installation the client will only run on the same machine as the server, because the client is set to connect to localhost. I guess in the next release this will have to be changed so that the client reads the remoting server host information from a configuration file which is created during the installation.
In fact the N-Track client should have its own installer package, instead of being bundled with the N-Track Admin tool and the N-Track remoting server as it is currently. Anyway it pops up a login dialog and you have to enter your username/password into the box and if you enter it correctly you get the screen shown above.
By default the date control will show the current date. But you can change it to any date you want to. You can have only 5 entries for any particular day, which is a restriction I placed on the client for UI requirements. The remoting server and the database have no such requirements. If you want to, you may write your own client that allows more than 5 entries per day.
The Project combobox will list all projects and the Activity combobox will list all activities. In the hours box you can fill in the hours you spent on any particular project. Using the date control if you move back to another date, the comboboxes will show the correct entries for that day and the hour boxes will show the entered hours. You can then modify any of the entries if you feel like it. The changes will not be saved unless you click on the Save button. You can to save for each date you have entered entries for. If you want to delete an entry, simply set the hours box to zero and the entry will get deleted. You can also change your password if you want to.

Running Track 1.2 is such a simple yet very useful running log that can be used to keep track of your race history, training schedule, performance, and progress. Running Track lets you log up to 500 practice runs and 170 races of up to 6 different types. It forecasts your performance in future runs and calculates and plots your pace as it varies over time.

Mouse Tracks 2.5 is a program equipped with the ability to log the mouse movement/clicks, internet time and the time that the system is running from your pc. Normally only an icon is visible in the taskbar. When maximimized the data is shown; Movement is shown as total movement and movement today (meter/ kilometer). Mouseclicks are shown as right, middle, left and total. The program also shows the amount of time that you are connected to the internet and the up-tme of the PC.

Clip Tracking is a Systray clipboard tracking application which reports the clipboard changes the way that Office Clipboard does, but it has also the ability to instant edit,save or print its contents.
Everything you are editing in the TextEntry and Editor of Clip Tracking application, the same time becomes the clipboards contents.
The application is a full-keyshortcuts controled one.

Nemo Fast Track is essentially a file manager that will allow you to search many files or directories very fast. Under the hood this is done by creating a local database which contains the information from all files and directories from any kind of storage device (Hard disk, CDROM, Flash etc.) and then a search will be done in the database rather than the storage device.
You can easily locate any type of file through file names, folders, date, size and finally by content if the file is online. Search capabilities can be extended to within ZIP files. You can also browse your devices, like CDs, without the CDs.
Its preview panel supports common file types(media player files, image files, plain text, web pages, zip files, etc.) and the most common electronic document formats (PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.). You can also carry out a few basic editing operations on them.
In addition this application can make backups of your precious documents automatically and allows you keep several versions of your documents as changes are made to them and therefore lets you undo changes made to them at several levels if need be.
As a file manager it supports bookmarking and commenting of offline files. Moreover it also allows you to encrypt files and lock folders with a password in a snap.
Several other gadgets and enhancements are also available like a desktop calendar/memo and a utility to secure your sensible drives by hiding them from Windows Explorer.
Unfortunately the program does not yet come with a detailed help file but with a quick start facility that will put you on track in no time.
Note that this is a lite version of the full program that is yet to be released. Try it ounce and you will most probably not want to use the Windows built-in search again!
