Probably the most straight forward IDE to learn XSLT (extensible stylesheet language and transformation) Treebeard is a text editor that allows the editing and loading of an XSLT document and an XML document at the same time.
Treebeard also can apply the XSLT to the XML and display the output for further editing/saving.
Introduction
Often XSLT is used in a background process. For example, transforming an XML document into an HTML page. The process used to write an XSLT document, at least for me, was to write the XSLT in a text editor, save it to a server, and then run the page to see if it transformed correctly.
