translate

Translate uses Googles Translate, to translate the text you enter into another language.

Explanation on how to enter the language options are explained in Help, which can be got by clicking the "?".

Translate is a toolkit to convert between various different translation formats (such as gettext-based .po formats, OpenOffice.org formats, and Mozilla formats).

This makes it possible to stay in one format across all your localisation. Tools to help process and validate localizations, etc.

Whats New in This Release:

· Almost all storage classes have been migrated to the projects base class.
· The base class should make it easier to add new formats in the future.
· Major work was done to move escaping into the storage classes and to roundtrip escaping.
· Many many unit tests were added to check compliance.
· Many bugs were fixed.
· The DTD format is no longer escaped, and it follows the DTD spec correctly.
· .properties files are no longer used escaped Unicode, following the Mozilla convention.
· Duplicates are merged by default using the PO method of merging locations.

Translate Page description
Maxthon add-on that will let you translate webpages from a serie of different languages to English Translate Page is a plugin that will translate web pages to English using the Babel Fish Translation Engine. Should be handy especially for those people who dont like to have the GO button showing.

The translated page opens in a new window - leaving the original page intact for the reference.

Translate Selection description
Maxthon add-on that will translate the text you select from your current webpage in a new window It will open a new window with the text translated. If you click on the plugin and theres no text selected, you will be asked to enter the text that you want to translate in a dialog box.

If you want to change the language to translate, go to the plugin folder, edit translate_selection.htm and see the comments.

Please note: English Polish and English Serbian translations work with one word only. Also, the plugin doesnt work for Chinese and others languages that require UTF-8.

LEC Translate DotNet is a useful translation utility that will come in handy.

LEC Translate DotNet Translate DotNet is the LEC subscription translation service. You are welcome to install the applications for translation on as many computers as you wish. The actual translations are done on LEC server machines across the internet. Translate DotNet gives you the ability to translate in any of 256 language pairs for as low as 5 dollars a month.

Translate DotNet uses seven user interfaces. Translate DotNet, ClipTrans DotNet, Internet Explorer Addin, FileTrans DotNet, LogoTrans DotNet, MirrorTrans DotNet, and TransIt DotNet. Each application is best suited to particular translation needs.

Translate incorporates a control center for launching and configuring its specialized applications for translation of text, files, email, chat, instant messages, or web pages. The control center also includes its own text box for text translation.

FileTrans generates batch translation of files or folders, including HTML. Drag a file or directory icon onto the FileTrans window and the translation is automatic. You can even select which file types are to be translated, copied, or ignored.

Internet Explorer Addin This translation toolbar lets you translate web pages within Internet Explorer with a single mouse click.

LogoTrans provides the immediate translation of text placed into the top area. It is primarily used for rapid translation of small amounts of text that you type directly into the program, although it can also be used to translate small text files or dropped text. You dont even have to click a button.

TransIt creates instant translation as you type. When you work with instant messages, chats, emails, and forms, simply type in your language and have it entered in another language.

MirrorTrans shows you any window on your desktop in another language. You create a correspondence between MirrorTrans and the window to be translated, and MirrorTrans automatically translates in real time.

A translation Widget that allows translations to be obtained from three different web services (Altavistas BabelFish, Systran and www.freetranslation.com).

Note that different services offer different languages and slightly different translations.

Click the arrow buttons to translate text, and click the globe to change translation services.

With Desktop Translate widget you can do quick translations that could suits your needs nad spare a lot of time.

A useful tool that allows to translate all Visual C++ resource files from a language into an other. It is based on a dictionary that you can use with all your applications.You can also see the structure of the resource files ( dialog boxes, menus and stringtable ) and have a preview of the result.

The toolkit also includes tools to help check, validate, merge and extract from your localizations.

· Work with ONE localisation format. You ll no longer be editing DTD files in one tools, .properties in another, OpenOffice GSI in a third. Simply do all your localisation in a PO editor

· Create word, string and file counts of your PO files. Making it much easier to budget time as string counts do not give you a good indication of expected work.
· Create a set of PO files with debuging entries to allow you to easily locate the source of translations. Very useful in OpenOffice.org which provides scant clues as to where the running application has sourced the message.
