For example, if you have a larger monitor, you might want to view thumbnails at a higher resolution than the default of 96x96.
Most digital cameras embed a small thumbnail in the images they produce. The Nikon D100 and D70, for example, have 160x160 thumbnails. Since I use a large monitor, I prefer to view the thumbnails at their native resolution.
You can change the thumbnail size in the registry, or by using the TweakUI Power Toy. But you also have to delete all of the thumbnail cache (thumbs.db) files on your hard disk (or hard disks). This program will also do that for you.
